iPhone 6 Issue: RED screen flashing on startup?

I updated my iPhone 6 from 8.0.0 to 8.0.2 and when it got to the white start up page with the apple logo, instead of completing the turn on cycle, it flashes black, and red while staying on that "apple welcome screen"

anyone know of this issue?
