I exercise quite a bit with mine. Has anyone had experience using the 5s leather case inside of an armband?

This is pretty much my only hangup. Love the midnight blue.

Did you guys see the sexy image on the Techcrunch i6 review? Looks like they are the apple silicone cases:

If the leather case it's like the one of the Iphone 5S DON'T BUY IT. It gets DISGUSTING after a couple of weeks, at least in the light colors.

I own a 6+ red leather and a black silicone. I bought the silicone due to all the comments here that it fit a bit better, was grippier, etc. Damned if I can tell too much diff.... Yes, it feels a bit diff in your hand, but the quality looks the same as the leather, in terms of build and I like both. The leather is very smooth. but I still like it. The silicone black is def not black, but dark grey, not a prob, just not jet black. The silicone picks up a bit of lint the leather does not.

Ii got the Tech21 ... Impactology ... full phone case.

Grab the color that suits you.

It is clean, good grip, good access to controls, and does help with the impact stuff if you happen to drop it ....

For the leather ... it do NOT hold up to blue jeans .. just ask any saddle.

Normally I'm against raising long expired threads from the dead, but it's already risen, so...

I ordered an Incipio NGP Black. I haven't received it yet, but the reason I ordered it is that after only a few months my Apple silicone case is starting to tear around the corners, and just overall looks kind of ratty.

Considering how much they cost they don't really hold up well to every day wear and tear.

Now if I can only get Amazon to not promise ship dates and be wrong...

Why not contact apple and get a replacement? It's covered under warranty. I agree for the price it should hold up better, but if it's not. I'm pretty sure apple will make it right with a warranty replacement.

Why do Apple continue to make some of their products from cheap crap. When you compare the leather in the Apple case to something from the likes of Sena who make proper quality products it really does show how cheaply Apple makes some of their products. I tried the leather case in the Apple Store and when the store guy said that it was made of top quality leather I laughed out loud. He said that it was even better quality than the leather seats in his 1 year old BMW, his face was priceless when I told him it should feel better because your BMW doesn't have leather unless you paid the extra for the 'individual leather' which by his face I could tell he didn't.

For people that are used to feeling real leather the Apple case is a joke. I went for the silicone case and find that it feels nice and the fit is perfect.

..problem with the silicone cases is that they are lint magnets! I had the grey silicone one on my iPhone 6 and every time I pulled it out the pocket, it would have lint all over it!

The black leather official Apple case for my old iPhone 5 was THE best case I ever bought for it (and I had loads!!!) - the leather felt really nice so I'm guessing they've used the same leather for the iPhone 6 cases.

I have never seen the Apple leather case for the iPhone 5 in hand so can't comment on it but the ones I tried for the iPhone 6 didn't feel like they are of great quality. Maybe I will try one for a few weeks to see if it gets better.

The lint thing I don't get but that may be down to the dry cleaner I use who cleans out the pockets plus I don't use my pants pockets that much to carry my phone.

I really like them both. I was a super fan of the white silicone for my white/silver Plus. Love the look and feel in hand of the silicone. I went through my first 2 rather quickly when the bottom edges would lose their bond from the plastic underneath and returned them to Apple for replacement. By that time though, I figured out that the way I removed the case caused the problem. I was pushing directly on the bottom edge when removing the case. This flexing caused the problem. I've had my current case for about 3 months and have had it off and back on many times with no issue. Now when taking it off I push on the sides rather than the bottom edges.

Then I recently tried the black leather and really like this case as well. The leather feels good and the case itself although says that it's the same size as the silicone, is noticeably thinner and feels thinner on the phone so it best keeps the slim profile.

So after trying so many different cases, I'm really settled and happy with the Apple cases.

I usually hate using a case but my friend had the leather case on his 6+ and I really liked it so I went out and got a brown version. I love it and it works perfectly with my edge to edge screen protector.

I think I might even buy the blue one too because I really liked the deep navy color.

How about some pictures from people who have had the silicone/leather cases? Would like to see how they look like with wear

This is the olive brown leather case. It was purchase last november. I looks very dark now compared to when i first got it. Picture was taken with an iPad so it doesn't catch the colour correctly.

I have this on space grey. I love it. Three months and counting.

I don't find the Apple leather that bad. It's full grain aniline leather and of course it's different from top grain which has been corrected or pigmented or pebbled leather. Aniline feels more like actual skin but is less durable than the treated leather. This aniline will pick up staining whereas your treated top grain is less likely to do do. Good car and furniture leather is most likely pigmented and treated to be more durable.

Even most of my high end purses - some of them aniline have some additional treatment.

Also, in order to keep the super thin profile on the Apple cases, the leather must also be super thin.

When I looked at the apple leather case I looked at the red one for my grey iPhone 6 but I changed that phone for a silver and the red case didn't look great on the silver/white phone so when I was in the store for something else I had another look at the leather cases and the navy one that I tried felt different to the red one I had previously tried. I bought the navy and when I had it home I gave it a few coats of leather conditioner and it now feels nice and soft to the touch, I have now also got the brown and black leather cases and did the same treatment on them and they feel the same as the navy. While they don't feel the best quality leather they are nice and I suppose for the price they are(£35) here in the UK I think they are okay. I do wish they were better though even if they cost more.

I don't like silicone. It's either too rubbery or too soft.
Leather feels nicer.

In terms of synthetic materials there's nothing that compares to the feel of the Magpul case. It's firm without being plasticy and has just enough texture for decent grip without feeling sticky. It doesn't collect sweat or wear down over time.

Do the silicone ones stay clean unlike the leather (I know they "wear").

Can you easily clean the silicone ones, with what, water?

The lint that they pickup can it be easily brushed off?

Are the iPhone 6 silicone cases the same material and feel of the 5C Apple cases?

Thanks
