iPhone 6 mail sound

Since today my iphone 6 and ipad air 2 do not makes any sound when receive mails.

Anyone else? what can be the solution?

Have you confirmed that under settings and sounds that a sound/tone is assigned for these functions?

Did you do anything to your phone just before this happened.

Did you restore from a backup with "mute" on. i couldn't get it out of mute b.c I did that.

I restored my iphone from a backup with mute on. For some reason I could not get it out of mute no matter what I tried. I restored my phone and set it up as a new device. The problem was fixed.
