Now we know iPhone 6 has NFC for the Apple pay thing will the NFC also work as "normal" NFC for other things as well though?

I have a pair of Bluetooth headphones for example with NFC for pairing, Soundbars have them etc.

Or are Apple going to lock NFC down to Apple pay only? Anything in iOS 8 reveal anything about NFC?

    Thanks

The chipset supports those things but as appleboyy says there are no SDKs in the iOS 8 GM. Maybe it will come in 8.1 or probably 9.0.

Looks like it's only for Apple pay. A waste really if what NFC can do

I'm pretty sure Apple has said that the NFC is only for Apple Pay. But it doesn't mean they won't open it up to developers in the future.

Edit: whoops, didn't realize how old this thread was.
