iPhone 6+ no camera shutter sound

Hi all,

I've got a 6+ but for some reason, the first shot taken with my camera/screenshot has no shutter sound. Only subsequent shots have the shutter sound.

Any ideas?

Happened quite a few times to me, too, on 6 (not 6+.) I've wondered if that first flicker even took a photo or not. Hard to tell because I may take a series of shots and not bother to count how many.

If you haven't already, it might not be a bad idea to change these settings then change them back and restart your phone to see if it repairs the problem. I had an occasional camera glitch on a previous iPhone, maybe the iPhone 5, and I cycled through the settings twice and restarted and had no further issues. Good luck.
 
So its not something which is specific to my phone then. Phew. haha

It can get quite annoying.

Initially, i thought the new 8.1.1 update fixed it, but after trying it for a while, i realise it didnt.
 
Mine did/does the same. However I think it was corrected after the 8.1.1 update. I'll have to shoot more photos later to confirm and post in this thread again to provide a follow up. It's a software issue.

I noticed that my 6 did this yesterday, so it's not limited to the plus. I took two photos without unlocking the phone, and the first was missing the shutter sound. Hadn't really paid attention in the past, but I'll see if it continues to happen.

You sure its corrected? Mine seems to still have the problem.

In fact now, even the lock sound goes missing sometimes!
 
That is interesting I have had the same issue with my 6. It was purchased in Korea, which in some Asian countries, by law, it always has the shutter sound; however, sometimes I can get 1 or 2 two pics without the shutter sound. I thought it would be a software issue, but some people are saying it is a hardware issue. What do you think?

My 6 plus running 8.4.1 using the stock camera app doesn't have a shutter sound on the first picture, but additional pictures have shutter sound.
