hi,picked up another iphone 6 plus as got bored with my s6 & the battery on this thing takes forever to charge ? ive had iphones before and they did take time to charge but this one took a day to get to 100% i restored it and tried the ipad charger on it but still the same takes forever, its still under apple warranty could it be faulty ?

My iPhone 6+ takes about 2-3 hours to fully charge using the standard A/C adapter. Have you tried a different lightning cable?

hi,yes got 3 cables and tried all of them,it wasnt even flat when i charged it the other day it had at least 17% & it took the rest of the day to charge fully to 100% with standard charger,as i said it still has at least 4 months warranty left so maybe i should take to apple shop

Mine takes about an hour to go from 50% to 100%.

Take it to the store and they will run diagnostics on it.

I would do a hard encrypted backup via iTunes before you go.

The standard iPhone charger can charge at 5v @ 1000 ma
The ipad charger can deliver 5 V @ 2100 ma
A windows pc (usb 2.0 ) can only deliver 5 V @ 500 ma, which is not enough to charge with the radios and screen on
A windows pc ( usb 3.0 ) is preferred if your forced to using one
A Mac charging the iPhone 6s+ specifically requires El Capitan to be installed to charge at 5 V @ 2100 ma

Take it to the Genius Bar, they will take care of you

Try connecting it to a Mac and running coconut battery , it will tell you the health of the battery

I've noticed that aftermarket cables have an impact on the charging rate.

I bought a $5.00 lightning cable from Amazon and it would take forever to charge my 6+ compared to the original lightning cable it came with.

My 6 now dies super fast, example the other day it was at 100% at 8:30, 9:30 i lost 20% only after 1 call of 2 min, maybe 5 text & instagram scrolling of no more than 3 min

Shakes head held in hand. I don't get it. People buy a $1,000 phone and then try to save $10 or $15 on some fake Amazon cable made to zero specifications and complain phone doesn't charge.

Use the Apple power adapters (these are not chargers*) and Apple cables. There was an article about off brand power adapters and how badly they are made. Some barely have components separate from the high voltage side. When my Apple cables became worn the Apple Store replaced them for me free of charge. Stop being so cheap with your high end phones.

*The charger is built into the iPhone. The cube or iPad adapter are transformer/rectifiers to turn 120V 60Hz AC current or 240V 50Hz AC current into 5V DC current. The design and build of the Apple power adapters is a thing of beauty.
