Could anyone recommend a car phone holder for the iPhone 6+ as I can't seem to find any that would fit, or they look like they would be very flimsy?

Wedge it right into the gap between the dash and windscreen.
Prevent it from slipping by applying a line of bathroom sealant at the top and bottom.

Me too! Currently have a Brodit holder (connected to a ProClip) for my 5 and will upgrade once they release the 6 holder.

This is the finest phone holder I've ever owned. I was sceptical given the price, and less so after reading all the stellar reviews. Now that I own one, it's the freaking dog's b0ll0cks mate.

I bought an 'Airframe' holder.
Nice and simple and not taking up a huge area on your dash, just clips into the air vent.

I don't think if trust my big phone clipped on an air vent.
In my van I have a Brodit and will wait until the iPhone 6 plus holder is released. Until then I'll buy a cheapie from halfords

I need one for my motorbike.. bought a givi all sing all dancing system for £50 two weeks ago.. lost the receipt. 
Not sure that the Airframe will hold a 6+. They have an Airframe+ model that's made for the bigger phones. I just replaced my Airframe with one, and the only real difference aside from the wider extension is that they offset the clip so that it's closer to centered with a large phone.
Re: trusting to a vent, really depends on the fit. In my truck, there's a spot in the vent grid where the Airframe is really rock solid, and if the phone were to sag the chin would hit the dash pretty quickly and stop it.
OTOH, you lose a vent. Specifically, I'm losing the center-driver vent that I usually get my direct AC flow from, and that kind of sucks. The heater can also overheat the phone, since the vent flows right into the back of it, and you can't really shut off the vent because the vanes have to be open for the clip.
I'm considering an iOttie One Touch 2, since a number of people have recommended it.

I pre-ordered one from http://www.drivesafeandlegal.co.uk/brodit/iphone-6.asp and received an email earlier today to say it had been dispatched so maybe not quite as long a wait as I first imagined!

Check out the Spiderpodium by UK based company Breffo. I have one for the 6 but there is enough "legs" left for the 6+. I have been using this since my 4S days, it's a great little mount!
I use a Kenu Airframe+ in a BMW e91 with the iPhone 6+
Grips phone perfectly, it's super grippy, no wobble, doesn't fall off even when going over bumpy cobbled roads.
Takes up minimal space when not in use, can't be happier

Any pictures installed? would if work with a apple silicone case? Love the clean look of it
I'm awaiting delivery but will post pics when I have it and once I've decided on a spot to mount it in my car.
Bought one of these the other day. Great idea and easy to remove/reinstall when parking on the street.
Yes they are extremely useful, I even take mine from my car nowadays and attach it to my bike. Simple yet effective. Innovation at it's best!
