if that's your logic then the note4 is a much more. it has a tad bit better batt life, a bigger screen in smaller footprint and a better screen.

Having owned a Note 4 battery life is the same on both only thing better on the Note 4 is its quick charge feature. Yeah screen is better but there is no quad Hd content to take use of it.

doesn't matter if their is no quad HD content, as long as my eyes can see the difference then everything i do with my phone is the content. and i'm not alone just check out the reviews most if not all will tell you they see a difference

I don't need to check out reviews I had the phone. And had to search google to even find quad hd videos that barely played on my phone. I'm not saying that the Note 4 isn't good. Even with YouTube, me and other Xda developer members were trying to figure out how we could enable ultra hd viewing on our phones which kept only playing in 720 p. It's like when I bought the Htc Evo 3D a few years ago which was a cool phone but there was hardly any 3D content and for me the novelty of 3D wore off quickly.

I had a Note 4 for a few days and the battery lasted less than 2/3 as long as my 6+. Sure I've seen some benchtests online where the Note 4 lasts longer, but over the course of an average day making calls/web browsing/using Whatsapp/sending SMS etc the 6+ slays the Note 4.
I agree with your other points though.

It really boils down to what screen size do you prefer, 4.7 or 5.5? We can tell you what WE prefer but we can't tell you what YOU prefer. Go visit an Apple store, Target, At&t, Verizon, T-mobile store and get a feel for the 6+.
Do you think you'll be happier with a 6+? Or is this more of a "i want it because it's the "top" model" kinda thing?

Well what I'm really saying had the IPhone 6 been released with the exact same hardware just different screen size it would be a tougher decision. But there are a lot of people like me who care about spec and want the best. Sorry but the 6 not having a full 1080p screen kills the whole phone for me.

I was more referring to the compulsion to switch android devices every month to have the highest species device being solved by dumping android alltogether.

I don't disagree about the screen though. I guess apple felt they had to do something to justify the $100 premium. The plus is a rather expensive phone!

Put me in the minority then. I don't see a point in the quad hd screen. I simply don't see a difference one way or the other. That's not to say it's a bad device. That specific specification just isn't even on my radar as being a selling point.

Well it was my way of thinking lol. Plus certain things irked me about google. I feel as though google allows carriers to control their phones. And as the OS with the largest amount of adoption I don't see why. For one is all the bloat ware that's on android is no where to be found on iOS. And second it's things like Apple pay. Google was punked by AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon because they wanted to use Softcard (also known as ISIS) instead of Google wallet. And I feel like they will let down their users and Apple will stand their ground more and fight for iOS users.

It really is all that and I cant wait until all new apps/app updates require 64 bit support (35-40% speed boost in applications for 6/6 Plus)

Cant wait

Love my 6 Plus, it is a multimedia machine and a amazing piece of aluminum slab :D

too bad it's not a multitasking machine then it will be truly magical:rolleyes:

The 6 plus rocks

I had to talk my step-father into getting a 6 plus. He was originally going to get the 6 but I talked to him about the advantages of the plus such as better battery life, better resolution and ois on the camera. The store employee was trying to get him to order the 6 to save money, but I reminded him of the differences. Fast forward to today and he loves the device, he's not regretting getting the bigger size and enjoys it. If size matter's and you absolutely hate anything over 5 inches than get the 6 but if you want the best specs and battery life out of a new iPhone than get a 6 plus. Either way both are amazing phones and neither stink. Heck I am coming from a Nokia Lumia 1520 and am adjusting going back to a 5.5" phone from a 6" phone and don't mind it one bit.

There isn't much HD content either. As others said YouTube most of the time will only play in 720p. Netflix doesn't stream in HD for any android device but the nexus 7. I'm also dubious about the quality of Google play content which purports to be in HD. The files are far too compressed. A HD movie for example is around 1.5 GB which is too small to be HD. A TV show episode is around 600 MB. Which is again too small to be true HD. The quality can't be that good if it's that compressed. So unless you have a wealth of your own HD content there isn't much out there that can take advantage of the screen on the note 4, let alone beyond 1080p.

I don't own the note 4 and I've never used one, but based on my experiences with the note 3, S5 and all the reviews I've read I highly doubt that the battery lasts as long as the 6 plus. I'm sure that the battery life is respectable and of course having a removable battery is a big advantage but I've never heard people raving about it's battery life like they do about the 6 plus.

Well to me the Note 4 has a lot of wasted features. It has a quad hd screen but you have to really look to find anything in quad hd. Even YouTube on Android only shows 720p. It has a 4k camera but most people don't have 4k tvs.

Youtube is showing me up to 1080p over here.

It changes all the time. Actually it should be showing in 1440p where users have uploaded in that resolution. However YouTube keep fiddling about with the resolution. Sometimes on my tab pro I can only stream in 720p which looks horrible on a device that size. On other days I can stream at 1080p and very rarely at 1440p.

For me, the Plus is "all that". I've always had iPhones back to the 3G and have liked them all. This time around I was torn about whether to go with the 6 or the Plus. I went the Plus and it's been my favorite of all my phones. I think I like the bigger screen real estate the best and of course the battery life is super. I just like the feel of it in hand and find myself hardly using my iPad anymore.

I got my 6 on launch day and 2 days ago my husband upgraded from his 5s - he got the plus for me and I gave him my regular six

The 6 plus has a beautiful big screen but it was not pocketable and is too big to carry and use IMO- I love to bar hop with my husband and attending Niners and Giants games without a purse so it didn't work for me

I saw two ladies using their pluses and they looked frustrated trying to stand type and hold the plus however my sister loves hers - even named it the gold finger lol

I ended up taking it back and getting him a regular 6. Pocket ability trumped that beautiful screen for me. If I could have worked out a way to conveniently carry it without a purse I would have kept it

It totally depends on which size you prefer. In all honesty, people are not really changing from the 6/6+ b.c of the specs. They are changing because they either want a larger or smaller phone. I had both for a few days and it can down to the size I prefer.

nope. wrong. my boss has the note 4 and he has to use the power saving feature to even come close to what im getting with the 6+.

You cant just make a blanket statemant loke that, as you know, there are alot of variables to the battery life, things like cell signal strength, usage patterns and features enabled. You dont know how exctly your boss is using his phone, if all he does is watch videos with bunch of stuff enabled in a location where his carrier has a weak signal, itll affect his battery more.

4k screens are battery killers. root the note, add a new rom, and then it would beat the 6+.

why would i discuss the note 4 in an apple forum in a thread about an apple product when the OP asked about iphone 6 plus?

troll much?

For me it is a multitasking machine that is able to hold some applications in the background running unlike on most Android devices where it would close out; switching between apps in the app draw is alot faster and resonds faster then my brothers Note 4 with ART mode enabled.

See phonebutfs video on M8, S5 vs 6; where they were running multitasking tests and the two android devices with double the cores and double the RAM was reloading applications more then the 6

holding something in the background while you work on another is not multitasking. multitasking is when....aw forget it you wonldn't uderstand it anyways. too much koolaid in your bladder:)
