Folks, long time lurker first time poster.

I got a new 64gb 6 last week that I had to return last week due to shadows and yellow patches.
Got a 6 plus solely due to reports of better screen tint and uniformity.

Got one yesterday and while it appears warm compared to my blue screen iphone 4, the battery has gone from 100% to 45% in 5 hours and I've also discovered a dark line down the left of the screen on grey backgrounds.

Does anyone have the line thing? Can anyone post an image of a less warm or blue white 6+ to inspire me to swap?

Does the screen bother you in normal use? I would never try the dead pixel apps or playing about with different coloured backgrounds in order to display faults. Also, if you keep swapping phones until you get one with a screen you're happy with it will invariably have loose volume buttons or a 'dodgy' home button etc. I kept my very first 6+. It has a rattley mute switch and the screen has imperfect illumination. It also has a slight dark cloud at the very top left of the screen, but this is almost impossible to spot in normal use. I occasionally see it when using the phone in landscape with certain coloured websites. Ultimately though, I found my phone acceptable and didn't want to get into exhanging five or more for other unacceptable faults until I found an absolutely perfect one. Perhaps I would never have found a perfect one...

Ironically I didn't spot the grey line in a dead pixel app etc, I saw it on the grey YouTube loading screen.
You're right, it can't be seen most of the time. But it's not a cheap phone and my head can't get past that!

You're right though, the risks involved in continually swapping don't inspire me much.

The battery life is also concerning. I've not seen reports of any dodgy batteries in a 6+.

Today I made the cardinal mistake of comparing my phone to demo devices in a few stores.

Really annoyed now as mine is clearly significantly more yellow.
My wife agreed which never happens. Like ever. About anything.

My i5 and this 6+ have yellow screens. The i4 before them had a lovely blue-tinted white screen. In sunny outdoor weather it's shocking how yellow my screen looks.

The gray line that's visible in the first image is not clearly visible to me in the second image you posted. Does it show up in any other circumstance or just during the YouTube startup that you describe? Perhaps it's just introduced through YouTube and not a fault of the phone if you don't see it anywhere else. The screen images do look warmer in color than either my 6 or 6+ though. Here's a link to a good analysis of iPhone displays http://www.displaymate.com/iPhone6_ShootOut.htm
As to the battery concerns, have you checed in settings under usage and looked to see what's consuming your battery. Dropping 55% in 5 hours is quite a lot but depending on how you used the phone it could be normal, not enough information to go on here. In the end though, if you have concerns and aren't happy with the phone now, it won't get better for you later. You may want to swap it while you can.

You are comparing screens that are the total opposite of each other when it comes to temperature. If the 4 wasn't a problem with its overly cool temperature then the 6+ shouldn't be with its overly warm temperature. Unless you just hate the yellowish. Generally I get used to it and without a side by side comparison I can't see it in normal use.

I also can't see that faint line on the left in the second pic. Personally I wouldn't concern myself with it.

As far as the battery that does seem like quite a bit but without. Like mentioned goto the usage screen and see where it all went. Depending on your usage that could be normal. For example using GPS app in satellite view will kill battery life really quick, probably even faster then what you are experiencing so it could be normal.

Thanks for the replies folks.

With regard usage it was safari, Facebook and you tube in that order. 41% safari.

I know I'll always be wondering "what if" if I don't swap.
Though as we all know, swapping usually means replacing one set of issues with a new set!

Got the phone replaced and, almost inevitably, the replacement is much worse.

Retailer is now ignoring me too.
I knew it was a gamble but I'm always stupidly optimistic.

This one is very uneven, much like some of the standard 6s posted on here. I changed from a 6 to a plus originally for screen uniformity. How ironic.

I didn't realise the plus could have the same issues.
