Hey,

Recently i bought an Iphone 6 with an Hungarian simlock on it (the provider isVodafone).
I was wondering if you guys knew a decent unlocking service that could help me out?

On the otherside i 've been reading some things that it's impossible to unlock a iphone with a Hungarian simlock on it , is this true?

Kind regards,

Vix13xon

I think your best attempt would be contacting the provider, Vodafone Hungary in this case.

You may have to pay a fee though.

I'm afraid i already tried that , they said you'll have to pass by in one of their stores in Hungary with the ID of the original owner. Both of these things are not an option for me, since i bought it over the internet. -_-'.

Anyways , thanks for the reply !

Ahhh…when you say 'Unlock' do you mean Activation Lock? As in you need an Apple ID and password to continue setting up the phone?

If so, that's a security feature that no one can help you defeat and you've either been burned by the seller (stolen phone) or thought you could get around it after buying it.

Unlock as in remove the simlock on it, I can acces the iphone just fine. I can do everything with the phone , connect it with Itunes , surf the web etc... But i cannot send any messages or call anyone. When i put my SIM card in it , it says it's not the correct provider for this phone. So basically i have no service on the phone cause of the simlock.

Before buying the phone i did a quick IMEI check to see if it was reported stolen or blacklisted and this was/is not the case.

Hope i made things a bit more clear :p

You would need to ask the seller to request the unlock as they are the account holder / original owner of the phone, which is typically by an online unlocking form.

As the iphone does not require an unlock code  send the iPhone a notification and when another networks SIM card is enclosed this completes the process.

 would engage with you in regards to a Network locked iPhone.

Got you!

I'd just follow the advice of those here. Just for clarity, software unlocks via a jailbreak are no longer developed - but you probably knew that already.

So basically what you guys are saying is that Vodafone Hungary is my only chance? However that's not a real option since i need the ID of the original owner... Or did i completely misunderstood you guys?
Sorry for the possible misunderstanding !

Thanks for the replies though

Some networks will only unlock the phone for the account holder and original owner which looks to be the case this time as they are asking for proof of purchase.

Can you communicate with the seller ?

If not you may be stuck with it locked to that network unless the sellers description says it was unlocked and in that case you could raise a dispute.

Well i'll try to reach out to the seller of the Iphone , hope we can get it sorted.

Thanks for helping me out man, i appreciate it !

Exactly.
There's no way to unlock with a hack or hardware device either.
Next time careful what you purchase cause that phone can only be used with Vodafone Hungary.

You can buy the R-Sim 10 and it will let you to use the phone normally .... http://www.geveystore.com/products/r-sim-10-iphone-6-6-5c-5s-4s-up-to-ios-8-1-2

Can you not go to your Apple Store and say you have an intermittent problem with your home button not registering inputs. They replace your phone because the fingerprint reader can't be changed, the new phone will lock to the first sim that is inserted into it.
