the first is the same shade background as the original, and the second has a black background which blocks out some of the nike swooshes...

Im using this image on my lock screen on my iPhone 6. Is it possible for someone to take the background the Tetris blocks and remove them, leaving only the squared background?

So when I see my lock screen I see the main wallpaper and once the phone is unlocked, I see the same image minus the Tetris blocks.

Have redone this for you to the correct size for iPhone 6. One locksreen and one homescreen per your request.

made a iP6 lock screen the same as your original and a squared background for your home screen...
