Most people, want a phone that does what they want it to do and don't really care about the specs. They focus on the user experience. If Apple doesn't make what you want, then buy whatever meets your needs.
 
There's more important things than what's on that list. Camera quality, build quality, and of course the integration with Yosemite. Apple is a bit slow with these screen size updates though.

Eh, depends on what you're after. After putting up with a galaxy s5 for a few months, I've learned that tech for the sake of tech, sucks. Apple will never be on the cutting edge, but by the time it comes, it'll be stable and user friendly. There's definitely value in that.

iPhone 5 had better cam than that nexus, was faster, had better screen etc.
iPhone 6 blows it away ...
 
What did you expect in terms of features released today? They did a fine job in improving all their weak points.
 
Too bad you still have to root your phone to do as good as a backup solution that Iphone has been able to do since 2007

Nothing is perfect. I hope I'm not breaking this to you.

Apple sells an experience. You buy an iPhone and it is guaranteed to work with every other Apple product you have. Apple will support that product for several years with OS upgrades. They give you lots of free software. You can pop into any Apple store in most any decent sized city and get help/support/warranty repairs and replacements immediately. That is what you are paying for.

Compare that to Samsung? They give you a lot of crazy features, but do you really care if the movie stops playing when you stop looking at it? You are lucky to get one Android OS update, let alone 3 or 4. And where do you go when it breaks? The ATT or Verizon store?!?

There are tradeoffs with everything. Fortunately there are lots of options so people can make their own choices. This isn't Russia... is this Russia?
 
4.7" screen - not a technological innovation.
760p resolution - If Apple didn't make the iPhone 4 with retina, we'll probably still be stuck on 640x480p phones these days.
NFC payment - When was the last time you used this?
Notification Actions/Widgets/Battery stats - Available long ago with jailbreaks
Cloud photo backup - Available for quite awhile

Wireless Charging - Doubt Apple will ever implement this simply because it's inefficient, and Apple is known to go green.
App installs from a browser - You click a link on the iPhone, App Store opens up. The only difference is the app store is more secure.
Virtual Buttons - Apple's done this since the first iPhone.

Probably hoped Apple would invent a 10" phone that can be folded into the size of an iPod nano.
 
$950 price point for the 128 plus kills this for me.

I bought my wonderful 4S for $80 and I'm sticking with it until it no longer functions.

Funny that its comparing the Nexus line with the iPhone line. Yet you bring up a Samsung. The Nexus 5 has ZERO lag and all the same features with a lot better. Yet its half the price. Now how about trying a Nexus before acting like you know anything about it, fanboy.

What do you expect them to say? Here's our 'new just OK, nothing new or exciting to see here' iPhone 6? Of course they're going to use all kinds of flowery, over the top adjectives. And I wasn't transcribing the keynote verbatim but I seem to recall most references to 'our best iPhone yet' or words to that effect, nothing stating the best phone ever.

I'm with Taco and mikey on this.

If you want to try Android, go get a Nexus 7 tablet. If it works for you, then great. If not, well, you're only out $200 or so.

I have a Nexus 7, a SG4 for my personal phone, an iPhone 4 for work and an iPad 4. The Android devices are OK, but iOS is just a much smoother experience overall.

exactly, and when touch id comes, sure its "late" but it works seamlessly and is easy for everyone to use.
 
Androids do usually get a lot of "features". But features are NOT "innovation". Was that "innovation" that involved banging your android into someone else's "revolutionary"? Of course not. I did see it once in the wild, it was greatly amusing at least...

I really don't get the Android "angle". Just because you slap a rocket on the back doesn't make it "better" it just means that they can't innovate BEYOND what Apple has already done, and need to include gimmicks just to try and get it to sell.

iPhone's are the superior total package. Sure, they don't have S-Beam, or whatever other number of "features" the fandroids point to, but given the choice people overwhelmingly choose iPhone.

That speaks for itself. If you don't like it, enjoy your Android.

I have a Nexus 7 and compared to an iPad mini, it's trash. The battery life is very poor and doesn't have nearly the performance.

You get what you pay for.

I'm talking about pragmatous and people like him who believes everything is gimmicks until Apple releases the same thing which becomes revolutionary.

i apologize you're right but still my opinion is my opinion and i personally think iOS is better than android but thats why we have options

I did. So he is meant to say this product sucks etc? How the **** is that any form of good marketing for the product? You are taking it too far.
 
Apple adds features to their devices when they feel the hardware/software are ready for it. Its not about loading a device with features at Apple, its about perfecting them and then adding them to make the User Experience as good as they can make it. Half the features added to the Galaxy S4/S5 hardly work.
