I just upgraded to a new iPhone 6s from an iPhone 6. I have a 2015 Toyota Corolla and I like to use the built-in Bluetooth for listening to podcasts and music.

It worked perfectly with my iPhone 6. But with the iPhone 6s I experience frequent glitches where the audio skips or cuts out for half a second or so.

This does not happen using a Bluetooth speaker or headphones.

When I got the new iPhone 6s I backed up my iPhone 6 to my MacBook and restored the 6s from that backup.

I have tried forgetting the Bluetooth connection to the car and re-pairing but that has not helped.

You said that the issue did not happen with your iPhone 6, but it happens with your new iPhone 6s leaving me to believe that it is the phone causing the issue. You went on to say that this does not happen with bluetooth speakers, tho, which leads me to believe that it is an issue with the car.

Where do you put your phone when you are in your Toyota using the wireless car function?

I use a mount on my dash so it's right above the screen of the stereo.

And I'm as confused as you are about which device might be the cause.
