Hi Guys,

Phone 1; Ok so here goes...approx 10 days ago i was having problems with my aux port, when using apple earphones whilst making and receiving calls, I was also having problems with the phone crashing, i.e apps shutting down unexpectedly, calls freezing, calls being muted.

Phone 2; So i take it into an Apple store (southland) Victoria a few days later, after a few tests nothing obvious shows up...so a new phone was given to me.

Phone 3; Almost instantly the same problems arise, once I've restored etc. I take the phone back to same store and a new phone is given, this time I'm advised it could be my apple earphones, i didn't have my potentially faulty set with me so i purchased some that connect to the lightening jack, no issues as yet with lightening jack.

Phone 4; Although no noticeable Aux issues were present, although i didn't even try because it was suggested it was faulty apple earphones, i did notice however that this phone i was given was not keeping charge for more than 5 hours, even though i trimmed down all the variable running apps etc, I took it back to Apple, reluctantly a new phone was given. and a new set of aux earphones swapped for new ones.

Phone 5; The same aux problem, still cannot make calls on earphones and calls freezing crashing etc.

Additional points;

This all happening within a 10 day or so period.

I use this phone to run a business and i am coming across very unprofessional with the freezing calls, muted calls and cannot have a private conversation (having to loud speaker) because i chose not to put the phone to my ear and only use ear phones for calls.

Would love some help and feedback.

hmmm...'genius bar' ?

Thanks for your reply, on my 4 visits to the Apple Store none of the techs mention that, I actually asked a few of them directly if it was iOS update.

Perhaps they wouldn't say it even if they knew?

How is it known that it's because of iOS 10.2 and that 10.2.1 addresses it (and address many issues)? The info about a few weeks is already off by quite a bit given that iOS 10.2.1 was already released today.

Perhaps they just don't know it. I was in the Apple Store once with a weird issue: my Apple Watch Series 0 would reboot each time I pushed the snooze button when the alarm clock was beeping. Tried every kind of troubleshooting I could before which isn't really much with the AW.

The "genius" in store came back from behind a couple minutes later and praised me for my well written thread in a forum. LEL :D The issue fixed itself with the release of watchOS 3.

ok, so another update.

Another visit to the apple store, once again spoke to the manager (manager michael-southland, Victoiria).

Same problems, manager offered another phone, great...round and round we go, i said i was not interested in yet another replacement, he advised me to go back to my phone network provider and request a new phone under warranty as he cannot offer me a new phone, only the reco crap the genius bar (swap bar) serves up.

So I take a 40km drive to where i purchased my phone with a network deal 12 odd months ago, they advise me they cannot help because the phone is no longer the one they provided and that apple is responsible for it now, they also advise me that can can get it sent away, they cannot offer a loan phone and that theres a chance i might be up for any repairs required :/

Round and round we go...i updated to 10.2.1, I have not yet done a full wipe of the OS as i need the info in the apps, it will also be a fruitless exercise because the aux doesn't always play up, so i won't know which app may be causing the issue.
