    Morning guys and gals.

So my battery on my phone which is just under a year old (in Apple warranty)is screwed. No doubt about it. Turns off consistently at all percentages. Won't charge/will charge. Chaos basically. The Apple Store is a fair distance from me. I was going to book an appointment at the Genius Bar.

It's not really the thing you can prove and I want i want to avoid being pushed away for a replacement.

Anyone know of strategic plans to do before hand to avoid such monstrosity?

Enter your serial number into here

    https://www.apple.com/uk/support/iphone6s-unexpectedshutdown/

This will tell you if your phone is eligible for battery replacement. If so, there will be no quibbles but (at least here in the UK) you need to book a slot, Apple then needs a week or so to order the battery in, then you need to leave your phone with them for about 3 hours for the actual replacement.

If your from a dodgy batch you can call Apple and diagnose over the phone. Saves the trip ;)
