I work 12 hour shifts, last night was the first time I used my new 6S to watch the MNF (Colts at Panthers), I could only watch an hour before I noticed the battery dropped to 38%. I used it also for browsing, few text as well.

I stopped watching and just followed the game on NFL app, used the Low Power Mode for the rest of the shift listening to music, browsing.

Question, is this NORMAL for the 6S. Do I need to CRIPPLE the phone to stream games in the future?

Normal. Any bright screen on time especially YouTube or a video that takes cellular will rape the phone in no time.
