iPhone 6S+ camera vs iPhone 3GS camera

My girlfriend's mum was round earlier, and she still uses her iPhone 3GS.

So I took the opportunity to take the exact same photo with both, in a not particularly well lit room. No flash and no edits.

I know, I know, obviously the results aren't surprising, but I think it's interesting to see how far we have come in 6 years.

There was a post a couple of weeks ago showing the upgrades among all the models. While you could see a difference, to me this is a stark contrast between the two.

Never really liked the 3GS camera. The iPhone 4s was the one that made me finally sell my canon digital camera.

The cameras on Apple smartphones were their Achilles heel until the iPhone 4 came along. The quality was way behind what Nokia and Sony Ericsson were doing at the time and a ton of people didn't even consider iPhones as a viable upgrade option until they improved them.
