The wifi connection on my iPhone 6s just drops all the time at home.

Yet my 5 is absolutely fine, so the problem can't be my router.

I thought this was supposed to be an upgrade? I'm reduced to using data mostly now.

I'm on iOS 10 now and this hasn't resolved it either.

I've tried wiping network settings and done everything apple recommends but it doesn't work.

    Advice?

Is your WiFi Assist turned on? If so, turn it off and see if you notice a change.

WiFi Assist is a feature introduced by Apple which switches to cellular data whenever there is a poor WiFi connection, in order to give the users an uninterrupted and seamless experience. In real world though, this switch occurs quite so often unless the phone is too close to the WiFi router.

It's about the usual when it comes to x.0 major releases.
