Couple days ago I dropped my iPhone 6s on a thick rug in my bedroom, it looks like this right now, will that be covered under warranty? I don't mind to pay for it, but it would be better if it is covered

The One Year Limited Warranty does not cover accidental damage. They will, however, replace your screen for a fee.
Thanks for your reply. I heard that if there're no signs of impact, it will be considered as a defected screen glass. Is that true? I have never dropped my phone before except this time.

i have heard of plenty of people getting a screen replacement if no signs of impact/one hairline crack.

From my bed, about 2 feet I guess. I dropped it on a very thick rug, still can't believe it is this weak

When it fell, it must have been just the right Angle when it hit. Two feet isn't very high, considering the impact. Good luck with the repair.

There have been a few threads where people reported a spontaneous crack forming. Apple seems to replace these as defective, since they are not like the spiderweb cracks that form from hard impacts.

Yeah I dont know about those "spontaneous" glass cracks claims.
But Apple is nice enough and consumer friendly to take care of situations like that and err on the customers side.

I was told by a Genius a few months back that as long as there is no sign of impact on the phones casing, they will replace the screen for free.

Edit: My screen cracked with an Apple leather case on. No impact on the phone, they replaced my screen for free. I was shocked when the Genius said the above statement. I was expecting to pay the whopping $200 replacement fee

If you're honest and forth coming with Apple, it goes a long way.

It must have landed in the worst way possible because I drop my phone constantly. I mean, it's kind of ridiculous how clumsy I am with it. On rugs, on wooden floors, on concrete, in airports, the grocery store, my office, off of the night stand, bouncing off of the bed when i lightly throw it, etc etc. And I've never cracked a screen. Screen protector, yes, but not the main screen.

Of course..now the next time I drop it, the screen will crack.

Just came back from the Apple Store, no luck at all:(
The rep said there was a tiny crack on the top right and it's not covered

Yep, the two  stores in my area can be strict like that, too. They once refused to replace my phone because it sometimes won't charge unless I do a hard reset. The problem couldn't be reproduced at the  store (as usual) so he said I am SOL. I was pissed because it's a warranty replacement I had for only two weeks.

Wow that's a shock. I've dropped my iPhone dozens and dozens of times on hard floor, carpet, outside, never had a crack/issue because of it.
Maybe my tech21 case really does help with impacts lol.

so you had 2 cracks on your phone? that big one and another one? i only had one small hairline crack in the top right. but it didn't go into the actual touch part of the display. it was on the white part of my gold 6s. it was covered under the 1yr warranty. but you had 2 apparently? thats probably why they didn't cover it.
