Does anyone know when Apple will lift the media embargo on the iPhone 6s so that we can start getting some detailed user reviews?

If it's anything like last year, it was the Wednesday before release day when the reviews started flowing in, from most sites at least.

Places like Anandtech take a bit longer to do a more thourough review.

Probably not unboxing but major tech sites like The Verge will have a review up :). The exact time will be 9:01pm like last year.
Last year it was Wednesday though wasn't it? You're saying it's moved to Tuesday this year?

Media embargo? As in media can't report on it? I saw a commercial for it today.....

No he means like a review. It's so that publications like The Verge and Engadget don't feel rush to post a review.

If an embargo doesn't exist then the review can be rushed and the review might not truely reflect the device because the reviewers wouldn't have as much time with device. Apple enforces an embargo on the device so that they have all had equal time. These devices were most likely given after the Septemebr keynote after their hands on, but I'm uncertain about these details.

(Publications would rush a review as fast as possible to gain audience and the information could be incorrect since they wouldn't of had time to actually spend a solid amount of time with the device which is where the embargo would give a honest amount of time for a solid review to be written up).

Don't know why my post is so over complicated haha.

I'm anxious to read the reviews but once I do I will just be that much more impatient for my new phone to arrive.

Most reviews we'll see this week will be the same old thing. Not a must upgrade but the best iphone yet. Cue the usual apple puppets who post reviews with perhaps only one or two that will actually comment on what matters. Which one still has any credibility? Too negative and Apple takes their invite away.

Ars Technica is the best. After that, there's a big drop. So many vie for worst review. It's too hard to pick just one.
