With the launch of iPhone 6s likely to be imminent, I had a thought about the colour of the Space Gray model.

Yesterday in the Apple Store, for the first time I saw the new iPod Touch with it's much darker space grey colour. I think it's beautiful, and it's much more akin to the Slate colour of iPhone 5. (Which I never owned, had the 4s and 5s)

So, do people think we'll see the new Slate colour coming to iPhone 6s and iPhone 6 Plus. The latest Apple products released with Space Grey (Apple Watch, iPod touch/Nano/Shuffle).

I'm really hoping that it'll be coming to iPhone 6s. What do you think?

in the past apple already use all space grey color , so i dont know if they can move to diff looking one

But people b!tched and moaned about slate showing off too many nicks. People need to just relax and enjoy.

And they were right to complain. Having a dark color doesn't necessarily mean that it needs to get so many scuffs. I had the HTC One M8 and M9 in space gray and despite the dark color, they didn't have a single scratch, even after a lot of use. Apple needs to make sure that the quality is good.

Yeah, it's basically silver on my iPad Air 2.

Does anyone know for sure, was the Space Grey on iPhone 6 made even lighter than on iPhone 5s or is it the same?

Yeah I've seen YouTube videos comparing the SG 5s with a SG 6 and it is alot lighter. I also noticed that my iPad Air 2 has the lighter space gray! I compared it to my old Mini 2 and the new SG is a lot lighter.

Thought so! Thanks for confirming that. I compared my 5s to to Air 2 and they are very different. I don't mind the 5s one as it's not too light. But the one on the Air 2 I feel is a bit too light.

It's the first thing I noticed when I had the iPhone 6 in my hands. That silver looking color. It felt like having the silver model, but when turning it around you see the black front. So clear evidence it is the Space Gray model. I don't like it. In fact, I liked the iPhone 5s in this color way more than with the iPhone 6.

That's why I hope Apple will bring the actual Space Gray color back to iPhone 6s. However, if they don't and they do announce a Rose Gold color option, that will be my next choice. Am a bit tired of black phones, rather go for a total different one now. :p

i dont like space grey ,,, ugly ....

i go for black or slate ,, since space grey release i stop and move to GOLD ....

if 6S continueing space grey i might get gold again or silver ,,,, space grey look old by time ,,,,

It doesn't.

Yeah... Put a clear case on it! Not sure what part of "Use a case" that people don't understand if you don't want the phone to get scuffed up.

If Apple is using the 7000 series aluminum it will be better for anodizing as it's harder and doesn't scratch as easy. Thereby giving Apple more choice in color
Good chance we see a darker space gray in the 6S

My phone HAS to have a black bezel so it will be grey or black or what ever they want to call it. No gold or rose gold for me as it is not to my tastes.
Thumbs up to you for saying the colors you don't want are not to your tastes instead of saying something insulting about the colors, as often happens when people express an opinion on something not in line with their tastes.

I have the current space gray iPhone 6plus. I think it would be a refreshing change to see a darker finish on the next generation. It is almost indistinguishable from silver and even from gold in certain lighting. I'd like to see a good crisp darker gray or black.

I do think I'll go for a gold shade though, just because I've had gray and silver iPads and space gray iPhones for a few years now and could do with a change.
