Hi,

I have exchanged my brand new iPhone 6s Plus 3 times in a row. 1st was damaged Display with some dead or stuck pixel.

the 2 other I exchanged had the following weird phenomenon.

If you hold the phone between your fingers like a sandwich near the mute switch and volume buttons und you push a little bit harder it comes a lot of air (burst) out of it (between display and rear shell) and a chemical smell like glue. It also makes the noice like from a Perfume Bottle. (NO JOKE)

Does someone else have this issue. My iPhone 6 Plus didn't have this issue. Gonna exchange it again.

All devices were C39 which unfortunately had the Samsung Chip in it.

Probably a trip into the Carphone Warehouse in order for repeatability. Mind my curiosity, why were you pressing hard between the two at that precise point? Or is this the traditional MacRumors Newbie who owns 30,000 Apple shares type of post? IN all seriousness; is it causing any other flaws? If not, I would not worry too much.

I just reg. her to ask if some1 else got this problem. I pressed exactly at this point to be sure my display is not crackling like my 5S did, if I tried I realized the air burst and this make me think its an production issue. So please be kind man!

Still if this is a flaw it should be addresses. Who knows how else it might manifest itself over time.

Had to be sure you were not trolling; I think the moral of the story is to not apply pressure to the phone ion both sides if it bother you. Although; it seems to not be having any adverse effects so I would not worry too much.

Why dont you take that issue serious? I mean if air can go outside if I'm squeezing it, maybe dust and even water could easily finds a way in and then there will be a much bigger problem. So really no one else has this issue?

I am with the "why are you squeezing your phone like that?" crowd on this one. Reminds me of the joke of the guy that goes to the doctor and says, "every time I hold my arm up in the air and twist it like this it hurts." Doctor says, "stop holding your arm in the air and twisting it like that.".

If you bought two of them and they both did it, then its probably as designed. Some things are engineered to have some flex so that they don't bend or shatter if they are impacted... could be part of that. Who knows. I wouldn't worry about it.
