If it did anything detrimental then it would most likely stop charging.

Is there any noticeable damage to the battery case lightening port insert piece to indicate something happened ?

I check the case lightning cable there no sign of damage on that part I tested multiple lighting cables from apple some do wiggle and some don't and I check the port and all the pins seem to be there all in the front and two in the back do you think I caused damage to the port even if it does charge

I would only be guessing.

If you have an Apple Store local then visit there and ask for it to be looked at.

Maybe not mention how you think it may have happened but instead say it's loose.

I tried the same cable on my mom 6 and it also wiggles but a brand new one does not wiggle it's more sturdy on both iPhones does this mean the cable is wearing out. Should the lighting cable wiggle a little bit on both iphones
