Hello,

I've just bought a Rose Gold Plus as a gift for my wife and I notice instantly that the display is not as good as my 6 display (non-plus) is. Even at maximum brightness the colors are pale and not as vivid like mine, the blacks are dark gray, the whites light grey... It seems not an IPS display, it's more like a TN one. Even my wife noticed that and she is not as freak as I am. I'm very disappointed having in mind that is a near 1000€ device.

And I noticed too that the image seems to be more deep placed than in my iPhone, maybe due to the Force touch. So the experience with the new device was not very good.

Has anyone noticed some of this problems? Maybe a faulty device?

Thank you!

Got an 6s even & nice screen after a couple of swaps. I was able to compare with a 6s Plus and my previous 6 and my 6s screen looks whiter and as brighter: so happy :)

Comparing my new 6S Plus to the old 6 Plus there is about zero difference between the screens. Sounds like your new 6S is acting up.

Can you post photos/videos of the comparison side by side so we can see?

I returned my 6S to get a 6S+ and the plus looks just as good as the 6S. If you live near
an apple store I would go in there and compare them.

The whites on my 6S+ are grey & the display seems much more washed out and dull than my 6+ did. It's also quite a fatiguing display to look at, my usage pattern is the same but my eyes feel strained. Not sure if it's a duff screen or just how they are this time around. I'm trying to get used to it.

I could be wrong but I think you'll get used to it. Unlike the 6S I had, I, too, found the 6S+ display slightly fatiguing on the eyes the first couple days I used it, but it's fine now. Maybe it just needs "broke in"? I know I've had this issue with new displays in the past.

As for the display itself, mine looks great.

Try turning the brightness up a bit. I had the same perception for the first week and then realized it was just too dim and causing everything to appear muted. I was coming from an OLED Galaxy display so it was quite a let down, but now all seems fine. Or... maybe I just got used to it? I do know I like it better a little brighter.

So you noticed too that the non-plus displays looks better?
Hmm my 6s Plus screen is nice and crisp. Definitely better looking then my 6

The 6/6s Plus has worst contrast ratio than the 6/6s - colors look less vivid - but it has better PPI - it looks more crisp.
You're iPhones are not defective, that's how the displays are on the Plus and non-Plus.

I'm surprised people still don't know this.
It's been this way since the original 6 and 6 Plus.

I do realize and know this... That's what I'm saying... It's crisp... 401 points compared to 326

My 6S+ seems to be much more brighter than the 6+. Consequently I only use the brightness at around 20%, the colors do seem a little washed, especially the blacks. However, if I turn up brightness past 50%, the colors look just as good as that on the 6+.
