I have a new iPhone 6s Plus (iOS 9.1) with "No service" in 3G mode.

At the same time, in the 2G EDGE voice and internet works ok, and in LTE Internet works fine.
But if the phone is connected to the LTE and calling, the phone automatically switches to 3G and silence, and then the call fails.

If I manually set Cellular Data to 3G, the result is the same - "no service".

I tried all known methods and tricks, with no success...

:(

Tried a few different SIM cards - the same result. These SIM cards work well in other iphone.

Could it be the model of iPhone you have not playing well with the carrier? I know the iPhone 6/6plus were identical no matter what carrier you got it from but I feel like it is different now with the 6S.

I don't really know what I'm talking about here but I think the 2G and LTE networks are GSM technologies while 3G and 4G are different so sometimes a wrong phone model/carrier combo can cause you to get LTE but no 3G, or 3G but no LTE, etc due to some models having different LTE bands, cellular radios and such.

I'd just look at the model number of the phone and see if people have been having issues with it on the carrier you're using. The above explanation is probably wrong, but I'm giving my best guess.

Have you found any solution; I'm facing this particular problem as well. Tried swapping new SIM but problem still persists. I bought 6s Plus with iOS 9.1 pre-installed. Please suggest a solution if you have rectified the problem.

Can you please confirm if issue was there on previous version of iOS or it appeared on iOS 9.1.

Please reply at your first.

Thank you.

Unfortunately, I did not find any solutions.
My iPhone had ios 9.0.2 preinstalled, I updated to 9.1 immediately after unpacking.

Try using iOS 9.2 beta 4 from Apple seed program. I'm using it since last 24 hours and haven't encountered the issue.

Try and reply if it works well.

Exactly which model iPhone and who is your carrier?
6s Plus SIM-free A1634, My carrier is MTS Russia (I'm not in U.S.). Replaced my SIM card with a new nano-SIM.
Talked with my carrier, they can't help, they say that everything is fine on their side.

Tried iOS 9.2 beta 4, did not help. Still, "no service" is in 3G mode. 2G EDGE and LTE works fine as before

Using iOS 9.2 beta 4, there is a difference! But still does not work ....
If I choose manually 3G cellular network for Voice and Data in Settings, iPhone is connected to 3G network (I see it in Field Test mode, iPhone is connected to 3G base station successfully) and shows good signal level. But no 3G indication in status bar. Or instead EDGE appears but the phone still connected to 3G! I still can't to make a call and internet not working.
In EDGE all works as expected, LTE works too.
