I have had a 2nd hand iPhone 6s Plus for roughly a year...It's been through several iFixIt replacement batterys and camera replacements due to previous user rough usage.

The odd issue I have is that the phone will work just fine if I do a reset and let it charge completely (currently has a new battery) but after I install a good amount of apps....the phone starts it reboots again. The phone appears to show correct charge level for the battery...

I'm wondering if something is wrong with the logic board or the storage portion of the phone....

    Any help is appreciated...

Well, for a start, begin again with a fresh phone with zero data and the latest iOS version to see if the issue appears again.

The issue is still there after another reset. Battery only shows at 1% (which was also a symptom before)
The only way I know for it to get the correct battery reading again is to open the phone, disconnect the battery and logic board connectors...let it sit for awhile....then reconnect...

I actually had another new iFixIt battery on hand that was still in the box. So I figured i'd test it with the phone....same issue is present with new battery being tested. The phone will take a minute or so to show correct battery level(roughly 75%)....then it restarts, and shows 1%

To me this sounds like a hardware problem with one of the other components of the device.

Are there any ways to test that my self? I know of the iPhone repair shops on YT and such but i don't really want to send it off. I feel like it would end up being a board replacement and that would probably be more than the phone is worth. Parts + labor.

Seems familiar to me. This could be a battery or a hardware issue (maybe the tristar chip). Have you tried any other battery brand besides iFixit? Scanditech is good too. If batteries from other brands show the same result, then it is a hardware issue.

I haven't tried a different brand of replacement battery but this phone has been through atleast 3 batteries from iFixIt. I think it's hardware related, because I have a brand new battery in it. And the phone will show correct battery level after about 30 secs after the phone starts up/goes to home screen. But if I open any app, for example the stock weather or Stocks app...after a minute or so the phone will restart
