If your in the United States, Friday is when you will see preparing for shipment, next Monday is when you see Shanghai to Anchorage, then Wednesday-Thursday is when you will see your phone going through states towards your local UPS/Fedex location for Friday delivery.

Force of frickin habit! While we might diss people who are losing sleep on this wait, I think a number of us are still programmed to check at least once a day, to make sure a horrible "delayed" or "cancelled" doesn't show up, then euphoria when "preparing for shipment" pops up.
