I was thinking to buy an iphone 7 plus, but is 100$ more expensive than the 6s plus. In my country, a 6s plus cost around 240$ and the 7 plus around 350$. I don't want to spend all my money just in a cellphone, so if the 6s plus still going strong I'm going to buy it. What Do you think? its good with ios 12? how is the battery ? it is smooth? what about the camera? Right now I have a iphone 6 but it is very slow because the 1GB ram. So, does the 6s plus is a good choice?

Note: I Don't like small cellphones, I want a plus. So, 6s plus still going strong ?

How long do you intend to keep the phone for?

Always buy the most up to date model you can afford. Unless you’re planning to upgrade yearly then it doesn’t much matter.

I have a 6S+ as my "backup" phone that I use for international travel. It's still perfectly fast, particularly with iOS 12. Sometimes I ask myself why I even bothered to upgrade to an XR when I have perfectly good 6S+. Go for it - you'll have OS support for at least the next two years, maybe even three, and IMO the upgrade from 6S+ to 7+ isn't worth the extra ~25% cost.

Ok so, what can you tell me about the camera? it is good? the camera of my iphone 6 is horrible, 8MP , and 1.2 MP. I can't even take a photo in the day, so you can imagine at the night, even worst. is the 6s plus camera good? the front and rear ?

Camera on the 6S+ is 12 mp, so definitely an improvement over the 6.

I think the 6S+ camera is fine, particularly during the day, but of course newer cameras are better. I honestly can't remember the last time I used the selfie camera so can't speak to that one.

For $100 more, it's certainly worth getting the 7 Plus.

It has:
  • 25% brighter display
  • 3GB RAM
  • water resistance
  • stereo speakers
  • front and rear cameras that capture Wide Color Gamut

These 5 advantages over the 6s Plus alone are worth $100. Other differences like the faster processor, DCI-P3 display, and haptic feedback are cherries on top.

The iPhone 6s was good in 2015, but it's missing a lot of modern features.

are any of those features a "must have"? "real life" performance wise there isn't much difference, sure the benchmarks show different

I was thinking the same thing, I just use social media like instagram, facebook. whatsapp, snapchat, and Play Games like Pubg and Fortnite, so, I think iphone 6s plus its going to be a perfectly choice for me. I just want a device that the battery last long, my iphone 6 doesn't even last 2 hours, so, I will buy a 6s plus.

You might not notice it, but I think most consumers notice a 25% brighter display and stereo audio.

If you want to argue "must have," then might as well not get an iPhone or a smartphone for that matter.

iPhone 7 Plus has the largest battery out of all Plus series phones.

But it actually sounds like you're limited by money rather than really looking for performance or camera quality as you originally stated.

I had a 6+ then I went to the 7+, and I think the 7+ really was leaps and bounds better than the 6+. My favorite part of the 7+ is the zoom on the camera which is something I got a lot of use out of. I know what I would do, ultimately the choice is yours.

No, The money is not the problem, I just don't want to spend a lot of money on a phone that I will just use for gaming, and social media, not proffessional things. Just wanted to make sure that the iphone 6s plus is going strong and still smooth as **** with ios 12, and the battery last me at least 6-7 hours of full use. If not, I will buy 7 plus.

Personally, I would opt for the 7+, it’s all around a much improved phone with the A10 fusion processor, dual camera, water resistance, stereo speakers, etc. And I think the performance is still on par with iOS 12, where as the iPhone 6s would be somewhat more limited in lifespan.

The main difference there is 1 gig of ram vs 2 gig.

*** my bad 3 gig****

Not quite, the 7 Plus has 3 GB of Ram, the 6 Plus had 1 GB of Ram as mentioned.

Edit: @DevinNj posted a second before I did.
My mistake. But having 2 gig in the 6s was leaps over the 1 gig in the 6. Same can be said with the air 2 over the air iPad. My 9.7 pro only has 2 gig and does fine. 1 gig in the 6+ Is what crippled that device.
