Other iPhone 6s Plus won't restore to default

iTunes just says Waiting for iPhone and on my iPhone itself the screen is support.apple.com/iphone/restore which I went to. Plus iTunes image and a image of part of the charging cord.

What could be wrong please?

I was trying to do a fresh install of iOS.

That may be it testing now but it worked before on the previous version of iTunes. Weird.

A previous version worked doesn’t mean it will work with the latest version of iOS though. There are driver changes sometimes.
