Read the whole thread. Nothing happened, still stuck at the remaining- 2 hours, which it has been saying for 6 hours. Tried turning the phone off and on and it made me start all over again. Definitely no magic for me
Not getting the magic hear yet. Hopefully the post will kick it in to hyperdriveTrying to setup my new iPhone and it is stuck at restoring my iCloud backup at the time remaining: estimating part.
I turned it off and back on, disabled Find my IPhone on the old phone, but it is still hanging there. Been about 45 minutes or so now.
Just wondering if anyone else had this issue or if it is just that a lot of people are restoring their phones and the servers are just overloaded or something.
Thanks!
Omg it worked!! My brother owes me $20! Bahaha this is crazy. It did take restarting again and giving it a tiny bit of time to work. I went and grabbed lunch and checked it again and it was completely done! This is after 24 hours of my brother trying to fix it and calling Apple Support.Created an account to see if it works. Trying to help my brother get his phone to restore and I am using my phone right now. Any tips for the magic? Lol. I keep tapping on the screen to keep it from hibernating. Is that the best course of action? Stay tuned...magic fairies don't fail me now! If this works my brother has to pay me.
[doublepost=1468776045][/doublepost]Okay, I felt pretty hopeless as I was reading through the replies, because my phone kept saying: "Time remaining:estimating" as I was going through the thread. As soon as I read the last word of the last post - bam! It switched to Time remaining:22 minutes!!! Wow!!!! This is for real!I. do. not. believe. it.
I was erasing and restoring my phone after having it unlocked with my provider, and I have been having problems for FOUR frustrating hours. Multiple times it had an error pop up telling me it could not restore from iCloud backup, the verification codes would not send to my phone, and I was about ready to throw it through a window. I googled what to do as my final try, and I came upon this thread. Against my better judgement, because I usually do not believe this stuff, and I had nothing better to do, I read every single word of the thread. Not expecting to see anything, I looked down, and no word of a lie, it says 43 minutes. 43 minutes is better than it being stuck at "estimating" forever. Say a little prayer for my phone to the Apple Gods.
Not working for meGuess I will try the posting thing....its 4 am...I need sleep....and a functioning phone
WTF!!!!!! I Read this post till end and now estimated time turns to 30 minutes=)) I don't believe it,this is both amazing and unbelievable.JUST WTF ! Many Thanks Chief hahahah
