Does not mirror my experience with the devices from 3S all the way to 5S. Those things got screen cracked quite easily in my experience. I never had one last more than 6 months before breaking.

The only device I have had that was impressive on drop performance was the Samsung Note 4. You literally had to try to destroy the thing.

My partners iphone 6 has lasted but then again, she had it in a case from day 1.
Thats the thing, mine is just two of how many million. So as the old saying goes your miles may vary. I think she was just cursed with the 6S or all those drops finally caught up to her and the phone gods frowned upon her dropping those beloved 6S's lol.

Has anyone ever had the colored part of the phone, under the glass chip? Mine fell from my pocket while in my protective sleeve, and the glass was fine. However, the white colored piece chipped under the glass at the top of my phone. It's not awful, but it annoys the crap out of me. I'm trying to hold off from dropping $100-130 to replace my screen. It's not cracked. You can't feel any damage.

I've never seen this happen before now. I have a 6S, FYI.

Search Youtube for drop test between iPhone 6s and Galaxy s7.

What has that to do with the strength of the screen?
Device construction. Strength is not component by component. Choices of overall composition and construction will impact (pun intended) the resulting resilience of the screen.

Too bad for the galaxy then and too bad for iPhone with glass. Point is 6s is not fragile; if you bother to find that video. Its interesting how much abuse the device can take.

What for me is a disgrace is how all these companies make devices that are designed to break easily and generate more business for themselves. Yet the publish all kinds of environmental "responsibility" self-congratulations.

Meanwhile, a simple loop in the frame to allow use of a lanyard, would solve most of the breakage of these devices:

No, it's not as lucrative as selling Applecare and licensing fees for all those plastic cases no one needs. Too bad money comes before responsibility.

Nobody knows that for sure as nobody knows how tens of millions of customers use/treat their devices. And even if customers use a loop, they can still drop the device taking it off their neck, etc.
You're spending a lot of time denying the obvious: breakage from dropping it while walking around, or while in use would be greatly reduced. Silly to burn time deny that.

At the same time, IMO, your spending a lot of time defending this. It potentially may help, but then again not change the numbers at all for other reasons.

You didnt give any valid ones.

So far all I heard was the equivalent of "well seatbelts dont help protect you, because you might fall down when you get out of the car". Seriously....

I made an analogy. Based on what I've seen so far, you may want to look that up.
I disagree that IMO what you are proposing will have any meaningful impact on dropping phones and will make the phone look ugly; of course there is no study to prove or disprove it. But if someone really wants it...crazy glue a loop to a case.

will make the phone look ugly; .
Let me get this straight, a couple millimeters metal look, will "make the phone look ugly". The same phone currently slapped into a gazillion fugly variations of cheap plastic. Sure....

No, of course its not proven for like a century. Nah....

Ok yeah, you dont even know what it is.

Okay, you can think what you want. I'd like to see your adaption of this. Please post pics.

I dont need to post anything. Its a very basic design feature. Use your imagination. Assuming you have any not fed to you by Apple.
