Just wondering if anyone can offer any insight about this. I can't provide a picture right now, but my iPhone 6S screen has a spot on it that almost looks like a scratch, but it causes the screen to look brighter/magnified on white or light backgrounds. It's almost like the effect of a water drop but in the form of a very small line. I don't feel any scratch with my finger or fingernail. I don't think I small micro-scratch would be this noticeable with usage.

I have a Genius Bar appointment scheduled for next Tuesday. In the meantime, it's driving me nuts! I am not sure if something got under the screen or what. Anyone have anything similar happen? I've read about dust getting under the 6S screen.

I have a small micro scratch on my 6S screen but I can't even see it unless a light is pointed at it at an angle when the screen is off. Your display may have defect.

That's what I think. It would have to be a very deep scratch to mess up the screen image.

Well, I got my screen replaced, and now the new one has uneven backlighting. The top left of the screen is much brighter than the rest of the display. Crap! Now sure if I should leave it alone or not. It's really inconvenient to keep having to go to the Apple Store.

That's really unlucky, if going to the Apple Store is inconvenient call Apple Care.

They'd just replace the whole phone though, right? It's such a roll of the dice. Times like this, I really wish I didn't notice details so easily!

I know what you mean, I have OCD and the micro scratch on my iPhone 6s screen bothers so much even though I can't see it. Just the fact that it is there bothers me.

Well, this time AppleCare is sending me a replacement. I just didn't want to deal with the inconvenience of going all the way to the Apple Store, waiting in line and then waiting an hour for the repair. This way, if the replacement is worse, I'll just send it back and deal with the one I have.

Got a replacement at the Apple Store and it seems to be close to perfect. Still ended up with Samsung A9, which doesn't bother me. I was just hoping I might get to actually see if there was a difference.

that is what happens, when you obsess over tiny problems. just live with it - it's not worth the hassle

For me, it was worth it. I now have a new phone without any screen issues or any other defects. If I wasn't able to see the issue during normal use or if I had caused the problem through neglect, I would have just lived with it. However, something going bad on a screen is not something I will live with when its under warranty.
