Hi, so i have a 6S and am on iOS 10.3.2 - i never bothered upgrading to iOS 11.

I'm wondering if it's worth the upgrade to iOS 12? battery wise and speed wise. especially after reading articles on apple purposely decreasing battery life on older phones through iOS updates.

all the extra gimmicks and features are less important to me as im a pretty light user, basically just use the phone \ camera \ social media.

will appreciate any input!
Cheers

Short answer: Yes!

I had a 6s Plus that I kept on iOS 10 until I sold it about 11 months ago. I then got an SE that I kept on iOS 10, and refused to upgrade because of all the problems I heard about iOS 11.

My old 6s Plus was sold to a friend, that friend upgraded to iOS11, even though I told him that he should keep it on iOS 10 for now. It was his first iPhone, and he complains non-stop about how sluggish it is.

I upgraded to iOS 12 on my SE yesterday after reading many positive posts on how well iOS 12 was performing on older phones, including the iPhone SE.

I can confirm that the SE runs great on iOS 12 so far, I cannot comment on battery life yet.

Same here, iOS 10.3.3 on my 6s and thinking about upgrading to iOS 12.
Anyone did the jump from iOS 10 to 12?
Because upgrading from 11 to 12 should be worth it speed and battery wise but what about 10 to 12?

I’ve got a 6S...never had an issue on any version of iOS 11 and been running the iOS 12 GM for a week or so and had no issues.

Firstly: I am using iOS 9 on an iPhone 6s. I'm only commenting what I've read.
Performance probably. Some of the initial reports are fine. Battery life... I wouldn't be so sure. I read that there isn't an improvement on battery life compared to iOS 11, and iOS 11 was significantly lower than iOS 10.
My opinion? If there isn't anything you want (a new version of an app that's absolutely necessary, or a feature that you'd be willing to sacrifice either battery life or performance for) I wouldn't do it.

From the speedtests I have seen on GM/Release, iOS 12 is fixing the iOS 11 speed issues and is comparable to iOS 10.
