hey guys, do you think that Apple will have in-store pickup for the iPhone 6s and store line-up/queue on launch day as they had for the iPhone 6?

Seeing as iPhone launches have varied consistently since the 5S, who knows right now.

IMHO they will have some kind of reserve and pickup system in place like last year: it worked nicely and dramatically limited the "scalper effect".
Question is: when will they announce it? Probably close to day one.

Judging by the fact if you want t do the Apple upgrade program and you have to be in store for that by reserving your appointment at 12:01 on the 12th, I'm assuming they would?

That sounds legit. And it might be great news for those expecting pickup in store. Being in Europe I didn't look at the US site. Hard to guess if reservations will be available outside US, where the upgrade program won't be available on day one.

If you want the phone in a timely manner, pay full price. Thats pretty much what I get out of this whole upgrade system.
