iPhone 7+ 27-29 September Apple.com thread

7+ 256 Black just changed over to preparing to ship and my card was charged.
Shipping date is still 23-27.

I paid the $10 extra on the 9th for expedited shipping, and it was included in the confirmation from Apple. The total charge to my card was $10 less than the total on the confirmation which I assume was the expedited shipping charge.

Has anyone else noticed this?
 
Preparing for shipping CC charged and my dates moved up by one day... not sure if that means there's any chance for tomorrow but hoping for next week right now.
 
Mine also went to Preparing for shipment:
iPhone 7 Plus 256GB Black (GSM)
3:19AM EST T-Mobile model.

My card was charged immediately at the time of order (apple pay) for the full amount, but was again charged $138.03 for the applecare including taxes. I assume that the original charge will be refunded and they will do a second charge for the phone only. Weird stuff.


As far as expectations -- I expect that it will ship at some point in the next 12 hours, and will arrive at my door on either Saturday or Monday. (More likely Monday)

Well, Apple rep told me today that every iphone is getting expedited shipping, so they might not charge you for something you will get anyway for free.

For what it is worth, I ordered my wife a Watch 2 about 2 minutes after I ordered my phone and the showed a delivery date of the 16th from the start. I was able to pull generic tracking info for the watch using the phone number on the order prior to receiving a formal tracking number and notification of shipment; however, I could not pull that before it switched to preparing for shipment.

Don't know if that is the exception and not the rule, or if it is different for the phones, but just thought I'd throw that out there.

When I called for next day shipping upgrade the gentleman did it free of charge

The expedited shipping lot got estimates for 20th, I feel like that's when all of us realistically should expect the phones get to us. (if all of us are getting expedited shipping anyway)

It is nice to see a company willing to do that. Its not a lot but I've seen a lot of posts from people saying they paid for the expedited shipping.

From what I can see from the fellow above, they didn't end up charging these people that extra 10 dollars.

I was actually nearly in the same situation during Iphone 5 preorders, I had ship date of 2 weeks after launch day, so I wasn't expecting it. Day before launch it went to preparing to ship, next day on launch day it was at my door, so while this is anecdotal its a possibility. I'm really hoping it happens again since mine with a date of Sept 26-29th just went to preparing for shipment as well.

It's possible if it's shipping from the US, and overnight shipping

Totally feasible if you ordered Stealth Black, coming in fast and low, undetected...:apple::cool::apple:
 
I have a pending charge for the whole amount first pending I've had on a matte black 32 Verizon version 27-29. Preparing for shipment.
 
Curious if anyone with a date from Sep 20-29 did *not* have theirs update to 'preparing for shipment' today?
 
I assume Apple is working around the clock over there in China? They'll be working while we sleep...

I maybe wrong, but my experience from some of the previous preorders is the ones that shipped early in the week before launch day take multiple days to arrive on launch day, but those shipped right before and for a few weeks after launch day are shipped next day.

At least that's what it was for my iphone 4 (shipped early in the week before launch multiple day shipping and actually arrived the day before launch day) , 5 (shipped the day before launch overnight shipping to arrive launch day), 6 (shipped 1 week after launch sent overnight shipping).

I've never had to call to request it being upgraded to overnight.

At least that's what it was for my iphone 4 (early in the week before launch multiple day and actually arrived the day before launch day) , 5 (the day before launch overnight shipping), 6 (1 week after launch overnight shipping).
