Yes, me too. It normally happens when they're about to ship it. So we should get our shipping notification soon and the actual charge to our CC.
Same here. I have 2 phones ordered 2 minutes apart and now I only show 1 pending charge after 2 yesterday.

My card got charged at 11AM EDT yesterday and still nothing....iPhone 7+ 256GB AT&T.
Lucky. They didn't even charge my card yet.

By the way, my delivery date changed from Sep 27-29 to Sep 20-22 last weekend.

Card got charged at 1:20PM EST yesterday (still listed as pending), still Preparing for Shipment, Black 7+ 128GB AT&T IUP.

FYI for those still waiting - after my status changed to preparing to ship, it was about 14 hours until my status changed again to shipped and it showed up in UPS mychoice.
But.. my status hasn't even changed to preparing for shipping --- It's still processing. :(

Huh? My pending charge dropped like 2-3 days ago and my order is still PROCESSING.
That's the initial charge when you place your order. It drops after a couple days if they don't ship. When the orders changes to preparing for shipment, if there's not a pending charge, they'll place it again to confirm that the funds are still available.

The charge that dropped from your order is the initial one, not the shipping one.

Happened to me too. The initial charge dropped the sunday or monday.

Okay. When will they start preparing my order for shipment? :( It's taking way too long.

woke up to a weird ding on my phone. Said that my phone has been shipped, will be here Monday... Woooo, went from 26th-oct 3rd to 23rd to 30th to Monday... Thanks lord apple

I saw in the news for my area, they are all sold out of 7+ in every color at Apple Store. I'm a
little suspicious. I think Apple may be doing this to give the impression that sales are better
than they really are.
I ordered the 7 32GB in matte black. Supposedly that is avail at the Apple Store. Means I
didn't need to pre order.
i feel the opposite, i think they are finally doing it right, making sure preOrders are finally taken care of FIRST....considering people stayed up until 2,3,4am to place orders...it would be a slap in the face if the average person can walk up and get what we ordered on release day, and we have to wait weeks....(i know its happening) but atleast not on a terribly large scale

Gold 128 GB Plus - due to arrive Tuesday via FedEx

FWIW the final charge appeared last night on my credit card as a temporary authorization. When I looked on my payment history at Verizon, it wasn't there. However, the update early fee was. But it was charged to someone else's credit card!!

Called Verizon and was assured that the credit card charge on my card was good and it should be shipping soon. Woke up around 3 and checked. Panicked as the credit card charge to my account was gone and the erroneous one was still there. Oh no! Had the woman in CS cancelled the wrong charge???

But like others above it was back again this morning and I found a shipping label for my phone in Memphis. Due here Tuesday, as FedEx doesn't deliver on Mondays around here.
