I don't think it means anything. No one else has received that email that I know of.
I remember receiving that e-mail shortly before my iPhone 6 Plus shipped, so that could be a very good sign! Let's hope so!

Got the text today that our phones have shipped. Two black 7+ 128 gb phones ordered on the 12th should arrive on the 4th.
I got that email on the 21st. Still "in progress" purgatory.
Guys it's finally in my hands. It's been a crazy experience but I don't think I could have gone through the wait without you all. Good luck to everyone still waiting.

Got shipping email and text 9/28 at 2:03PM. UPS 2nd day for Friday 9/30

Nope. I actually got this email right before my 7+ shipped. I thought it was weird because I was already with AT&T and figured this email was for new customers.
Went through this long wait with the 6 plus two years ago and thought things would be different. Boy was I wrong lol. I ended up cancelling my at&t order which had a ship date at the end of October, and ordered the 7 plus my from best buy last night and just received confirmation that my phone has shipped. I am done with ordering through AT&T.
I don't know, my tween son is getting my old 6 plus, so I did not look into it.

Did you buy the phone outright from BB?
From what I can tell you can only do it through sprint and Verizon. I didn't see the att option, but I could be wrong.
