The person who found this also got $18 leather cases for 7 that were being cleared out for him and his wife but this is a phenomenal deal for people who want the smart battery case (and don’t care that with it on there’s no wireless charging since it hasn’t been updated since the 7)

Need to spend $8 or 9 for shipping unless you spend a total of $75 or more. But maybe you could try price match luck with other retailers too

FYI - combined battery capacity puts this above (2365+1821 mAH internal = 4186 mAH) 11 Pro max which is also powering a much higher resolution and more power hungry / bigger panel @ 3969mAH.

Yea that's a great price. Just wish they would have made one for 8 since it was the first with wireless charging. Wound up going with Product Red Mophie for the 8 for my SE2020 since it works with Wireless. Also works with CarPlay even though it charges with Micro.

It’s a trade off I suppose. I prefer intelligent charging methods (use battery case first then internal) and preserving lightning port even if I lose wireless charging

Yea I do love how the Apple Smart charges. Wish they would have made an 8 version, and then I would have definitely gotten it for my new SE2020.

What's the difference between iPhone 7 and 8 case, aren't these phone's dimensions the same?

When you have a battery case then does it constantly recharges the iPhone or let it discharge and starts recharging only when it reaches below a certain level? I guess recharging continuously may not be good for prolonging the iPhone's battery life

7 cases will not wirelessly charge since 8 was the first iPhone to wirelessly charge. 8 cases might wirelessly charge; you need to check the description/specs before buying. As long as the Apple Smart Battery case has power, it will directly supply power until dead, and then the iPhone battery will. On other battery cases, there is a button to toggle the case battery on/off. Apple Smart Battery Cases do not have an 8 version, so you will need to use the 7, and you cannot wirelessly charge with the case on.

The reason I asked because some laptop chargers when plugged-in to power supply current through the battery, so the battery is continuously getting discharged and recharged which may not be good for long-term battery health.

Only with the Apple Smart Battery cases that I know. It will use the case for power first, and only use the iPhone battery once the case dies.

the battery life is as expected... AMAZING for this case + the phone combined.

Can easily hammer it all day with mixed use (even watching video over LTE + using Google Maps for occasional directions) and still get through an entire day. from an early morning to a late night.

Not really a fan of it just showing 100% for internal battery in status bar, instead of combined %age or at least display of the smart battery case first then switching to internal . HAVING to look at it through NC widgets is meh.

But... a jailbreak is coming and that should get fixed right up (combined %'age)

Overall very happy for the price its a good thing to have

The grill front firing the bottom speaker is a plus too

Yea that the other nice thing about the Apple Smart Battery Case is seeing both battery levels in the widget.

Just got mine. Had a sticker price of $29.70 on it. And it wasn’t fully sealed. Gonna call them about the price discrepancy.

Talked with customer service via online chat and told them about the price difference. They refunded me $9.90.

May wanna try to ask them when you get yours.
