Iphone 7 and Apple Pencil

Anyone know if this rumor was confirmed? Will the new iPhone work with the apple pencil?

Nothing about it has been officially mentioned. Which seems that at least so far it's nothing more than a rumor.

They probably would have announced it if it was happening since it would require new hardware with the screen to add digitizer support for the pencil.

The pencil is so good on the iPad Pro with all the drawing apps, I can see it working with the writing feature with iOS 10.
