Hey guys,

I'm trying to make up my mind between the Apple and Nodus Leather iPhone 7+ cases.

I originally bought an Apple Leather case in (PRODUCT)RED but after seeing several online photos of how this case "patinas/ages" I've decided against it as imo it just looked dirty and didn't age as gracefully as say a saddle brown would.

I've decided that a black case would most likely be my best option, timeless, simple, elegant and most importantly would appear to stand the test of time the best as they don't show patina/aging like other colours.

After reading another thread on here asking for advice about premium leather case brands Nodus caught my eye, their cases look comparable to Apples (although no aluminium machined buttons) but now I'm torn, do I pick up another Apple case in black or do I pre-order a Nodus case due for the end of this month?

Which would you guys pick and why? Has anyone got first had experience with a Nodus case and can comment on quality and durability? Would you suggest a different brand altogether?

Nice for, nice leather and the magnet for in car use is ideal.

Nodus by a long shot. Have had 2 cases so far and will be getting the 7 plus version when available.

I had a look at the Nodus web site and whilst I'm not interested in their iPhone cases I am interested in ordering one of their wallets as they're are the only ones I've see design to use a contactless card be it a bank card or Oyster card without the risk of using any of the other cards in the wallet.

I checked their web site for contact details and there is no sign of a physical address or phone number, just an email address which usually isn't a good sign of reliability. Are they a reliable and good company to order from.

it is 21st century , and there is paypal , so you have no risk .

The Nodus looks dope but it doesn't even protect the top edge. I've already disliked how Apple's leaves the bottom exposed so I don't think I'd be able to do the top also..

Don't think a "SmoothSkin Gold 120 IPL Hair Removal System" is going to help me much here ;)

I'm ok with the bottom been left open for docking purposes but I cant really understand why they would have the top like this... it was a concern :(

Maybe I'll need to look elsewhere for a leather case

What does what century we are in got to do with it. Any reputable online retailer should have their physical address and phone number listed on their site. Besides I don't use Paypal nor do I want to go through the hassle and trouble of reporting an issue to them in order to get a resolution. Not to mention I can just request my bank to reverse the charge if I want to go down that route. Anyway you didn't answer my question.

I haven't seen the Nodus case in person but I wouldn't want both the bottom AND top exposed. Also don't like that big logo on the back and honestly the leather looks even worse than Apple's.

Just curious, why only those 2? I'm a big fan of the Nomad, better coverage than either of those 2 and equal or better quality.

Well it's not just these two;

I had seen several people post about nomad cases so I'll have a look at their site now, are these available in Europe though as most poeople posting about them seem to be from the States?

I'm fully open to other suggestions, ideally I'm just after a premium leather case for my iPhone 7 Plus that doesn't add too much bulk to the handset.

I'm not a fan of the top and bottom being open and it's the only off putting part of the Nodus case for me, the logo though imo doesn't look too bad, it's smaller than the Apple logo on their Leather cases and it's much better than say the ullu cases with their logo (the main reason I ruled out ullu as their cases actually look top notch!).
