Hi I'm new with the iPhone battery case and had some questions.

I just got it and realized the weight of the case that it's pretty heavy lol . But it helps make the 4.7 iPhone be a lot bigger.

Any tips with the case? Are you supposed to have it on 24/7?

For those that have tried both the 4.7 iPhone with the case and the 5.5 plus...which do you like better?

Just put the case on and forget about it. No need to to take it off except to clean your phone every once in a while. Had the 6+ and 6s+ prior to getting the 4.7 iPhone 7 this year. Had the plus models mostly for the bigger battery. Went with the 4.7 this year with the Apple battery case, mostly for the easier to handle size (for me). With the battery case I can use my phone and not worry about battery life. Lasts longer than my plus iPhones did and they were really good with battery life. So to answer your question, which do I like better, each for different reasons but really enjoying the 4.7 right now.

Thanks for the response. I was in a similar situation. Had the 6+ and upgraded to the 7+ and it was just getting too big for me even thought I got big hands. So I got the 7 with the battery case and I like how it fits in my hand. The 7 was too small and light. The case adds some weight.

Do you end up getting used to the 7 with the battery case weight? It's a lot heavier than the 7+ in a case.

And is the battery length longer in a 7 w/ the case more than the 7+?

Yes I got used to the weight pretty quickly. The case makes it easy to hold by the way it's designed. The ledge on the back makes for a nice finger hold. Not the nicest looking case around but functional. As for the battery length, I'm assuming your talking about battery usage compared to the plus models. I can't speak to the 7+, never used one, but as for the 6+ and 6s+ that I had (still have the 6s+), the 7 with the case last longer in my usage and I always set up my phones the same way. So in my case it's a similar use comparison. That may not always be true for everyone in their usage though.

It merges with the device. No need to micromanage it.

Weight is subjective and can be forgotten quickly for me.

I keep mine in my backpack for when I need it on the go rather than carrying an external battery pack. Been handy on a few occasions when I'm taking lots of photos or videos. I prefer slimmer cases so I can't stand having that extra weight all the time especially since the iPhone 7 lasts me a full day with my normal usage and I charge it every night, so it's a bit redundant except when I have excessive usage.

How's the iPhone 7's battery life compared to the 6s Plus without the battery case?

I'm thinking of getting a 6s Plus because it has a larger battery. If the 7 is better, I might buy that.

Without the Apple battery case on the 4.7 compared to the Plus, the Plus models offers more battery capacity and generally longer daily battery life. My wife and I both have the 4.7 iPhone 7. She uses hers without the case and has no problem getting through the day. I can as well but prefer to use the Apple battery case as my days can be somewhat unpredictable and I like having the extra battery capacity available if needed.

Yeah the 7 Plus has better battery life than the 7. But what about the older 6s Plus? Looking at Apple's comparison chart, apart from the standby times, they're both neck and neck. I'm trying to find out if the battery life differs in the real world.

Yes there is a difference. I have a 6s Plus (never got a 7 Plus). Comparing my two devices with my usage, my 6s Plus does generally last longer when compared to my 7 without the Apple battery case. The larger battery capacity of the Plus model provides somewhat longer daily battery life although that is offset to some degree by the larger screen, the screen being a big part of battery consumption. Based solely on my usage between the two devices the difference in battery use is nominal though. I can end my typical day with about 40% battery remaining on the Plus and about 30% on the 7. Everyone's usage is different though, YMMV. Hope this helps.

Thank you so much! Yes this is exactly what I was looking for. I'm going to get the 6s Plus :)
