Hello all,

I had teh iPhone 7 Jet Black for about a week now. Everything was running great until this morning when I updated to 10.0.0.2. Now my phone is going haywire. It seems the phone is constantly HOT when it's on, going through screens are laggy and most importantly I can hardly operate in the mail app. Freezes in mail app.

I unplugged my iPhone at around 8AM with 100% battery, it's now 9.48 and i'm down to 23%.

I dont 'know if it's the 10.0.0.2 upgrade which caused this or something else.

Is anyone else having this problem?

I just got my phone last night and have been using it all day. It has gotten hit for sure and my batter is draining as well. I'm down to 35% and it's only 1100a. Granted I have been doing a lot on the phone.

Have you rebooted it? Also look and see what apps is running. Something must be in a loop for the phone to heat up like that. Mine got slightly warm when I updated the OS but went away quickly.

if your batter is draining, use eggs to thicken it up....

In all seriousness have you guys rebooted and restored, or did you come here first and do none of that?

I rebooted my phone. Really didn't think much of it until I saw the post. My phone is not constantly hot. It just gets hot sometime. As I said I just got it last night.

Have you looked at the battery menu in settings to see what app is using all your battery?

Yes I shutdown and started my phone like 4 times already. I checked battery usage tab and only app using is mail using 34% in last 24hrs. But i even went to task manager and closed all open apps. thing is still running HOT. battery already drained so it's in charger.

I don't want ot have to restore my phone but I may have to I think. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem but it appears it is me.

This happened right when I updated to latest Ios 10.0.2 which fixes the headphone jack issue.

Restore as new and see if it persists. I'm having battery drain issues too. I may switch it out for the note 7
