You can find the build date of your iPhone by entering the serial number into the coconutID program.

Mine is still on it's way, 7 plus. Build date between September 5-11

Anyone try this yet? I'm curious as to when the first batch preorder units were produced.

I've done this from my mac for years. Never a problem.

I always used chipmunk to check but now they want you to register. I would look for a site that doesn't require download or registering.

You can use chipmunk without registration. I tried it, it just doesn't decode the new 7. As far as coconut goes, I've never had a problem with it. I've used it for all my Apple products.

Why does this require a download? Seems suspicious.

    Lol @ the suspicion.

Coconut Battery has been around forever and is a great little utility.

Wow, two Jet Black 7's here and the first was 5-11th September build date.

I thought that was recent, until I checked the second...

Actually on reflection maybe the software isn't accurate. Monday manufacture -> Friday delivery seems too fast.

Maybe they will update the chipmunk website soon and we'll have something to compare it to.

According to my Coconut Battery app on my MBP, my 7 Plus Matte Black 128 GB Verizon model was built on 9/12/16.
