Nobody cares, iPhone 7 will be a flop because Apple will release this product with a starting price that will near $900 US we have reached peak cell phone in 2015. Nobody wants to pay more than $500 for a cellphone anymore, and nothing Apple is going to add or remove from their iPhone is going to justify a starting price of $800+. Apple can't justify a starting price increase just by adding $5 worth of base storage and a second camera sensor and removing the headphone jack.

The only way Apple will impress with the iPhone 7 is to offer this with a starting cost of $500, then I might actually be interested in getting one, but I live in Canada and iPhone 6s Plus starts at $1049, which is ****ing ridiculous and criminal to charge for a phone these days. Apple is simply not paying attention and don't realize that the only phones that are selling well in 2016 are those "flagships" that are also value priced, all $700+ cell phone sales are tanking.

We are in the post-phone era, phones are back to commodity utilitarian products with absolutely no sex appeal, Apple will flop with the iPhone 7 by thinking they can continue to charge high profit margin "sexy" pricing for a product that consumers are simply bored of. Paying $900 to be bored to death by another incremental update will start to slowly kill this company if they don't wake up soon

I would say the iPhone 5 and 5s were Apples most ground breaking phones. I remember when they were all the rage and honestly they were very good phones and the SE is just a well polished version of that. It's just so hard going back down to that small of a screen. But like everything, you'd get used to it.

Apple needs another iPhone 5 moment :p

People here have iPhone 6S and are dying for iPhone 7? It's already a powerful phone. People do love throwing money away.

but the image doesn't provide a bottom edge view to corroborate the most popular rumor surrounding the iPhone 7: its potential lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack

The bottom edge does show in the picture, and the headphone jack is clearly missing

I tend to think it's become apparent that Ive might never have been a great designer - probably not much more than a decent CAD operator. Nothing particularly good looking or innovative has come from Apple since Steve Jobs died (I know you can't say these things here, it may be cliched but it seems to be true!), they can't even figure out antenna bands that others hide so well! Jobs probably had far more influence over the actual designs than we first thought...

Agreed. Be prepared to be assaulted by the Tim Apologists now. Don't forget, the 5yr plan SJ left ends Oct 5th. :apple:

In that case i will just buy a iPhone 7 back cover kit on ali express for my iPhone 6. Cheapest iPhone 7 upgrade ever! Probably gonna be around 2.99$ includinh shipping

These are fake! This is because Apple removed the FCC logos beginning with the 6s.

Not in Europe

Well at least I can revert to my favorite color space gray. I swear I have space gray over 30 Apple products over the last five years. Only if Apple can figure out what shade or tone of space gray they want to stick with.

And some people complained about "camera bump" on the current iPhone generation. After seeing these pics... HOLY COW!

I was really hoping for this to be true, as the black/slate iPhone 5 is probably my favorite-looking iPhone ever. Now I have a feeling they might wait until next year to introduce new colors. :(

I used to think people in my Windows phone community were always whining but IOS users are complaining about such trivial things such as camera bump.

As long as the camera is superb (and apple camera generally are), I don't really care.

I used to have this...it was a huge camera bump. Guess what? It still has one of the best camera lol

I just wanted a drastic new design without waiting until 2017... is that too much to ask for?

This logic makes no sense.
Because you want it now, that makes this bad.

10 year anniversary is coming up but you expect them to do a drastic redesign this year and turn around and do the same next year(where it is far more sensible)

Alleged photographs of the upcoming iPhone 7 have been popping up online for a few months now, and today Apple news and reviews site Macitynet [Google Translate] has shared one, showing off what the handset will look like in Rose Gold, Space Gray, Gold, and Silver. Following in the footsteps of previous images, the new photo doesn't contribute anything new to the iPhone 7 rumor mill, but it does fall in line with a few design expectations of previous reports.

The picture is said to be of a mold for the iPhone 7, used by case manufacturers ahead of the smartphone's launch to prepare exact measurements for third-party accessories, so it's hard to use today's image as definitive proof of color options for Apple's new iPhone line.

Still, the rumored Dark Space Gray version of the iPhone -- which many believed would help drum up interest in an otherwise fairly slight update year -- isn't included in the new picture, suggesting Apple could keep on with the traditional four colorways, similar to the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. However, it is also possible that Dark Space Gray could be exclusive to the iPhone 7 Plus or "Pro" (presumably not shown in today's images).

Hardware wise, the iPhone 7's larger camera is again included in the new design molds, appearing nearly identical to a clear shot of the new iPhone posted by French site Nowhereelse.fr earlier in the week. The more substantial, sloping camera is expected to be a major selling point of the iPhone 7, while its 5.5-inch alternative is expected to get an even more beefed-up dual-lens camera with a pill-shaped enclosure, which could put it on the level of some DSLR cameras.

The iPhone 7's antenna bands are also moved in the image, yet again adding confirmation to one of the new iPhone line's longest-running rumors that Apple will redesign the bands so they no longer cut across the top and bottom of the device's backside. As in most other renderings and image leaks, the bands are now lying along the edges of the rear of the iPhone 7.

No Smart Connector is visible on the rear of the top-most Rose Gold iPhone 7 mold, but the image doesn't provide a bottom edge view to corroborate the most popular rumor surrounding the iPhone 7: its potential lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack. Apple is expected to finally divulge information about the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus during a keynote in September, the traditional iPhone announcement month, so it won't be too long before we know even more about the handsets leading up to their launch.

[doublepost=1468616559][/doublepost]Well this sucks. Apple rarely anymore is rolling out a few products a year. Where is the gorgeous dark blue casing that looks fab with a white front piece? Its getting to be old hat anymore. No wonder sales are down due to lack of heightened interest in boring looking products.

No, the original iPhone was the groundbreaking phone.

Everything since then has been an incremental update as far as the hardware goes. The 5 was just a bigger 4. The 4 was a squared off 3. The 6 was a bigger 5 with rounded edges.

iOS 7 was the "this is sucking" point for the user interface, it's always jarring these days when I pick up an older iPhone running a pre-7 iOS - it was so much prettier back then. Why did they have to make it so ugly?

Apple's new slogan should be: "iOS - At least it doesn't suck as much as Android."

Stick with my 6s plus.
I am still on that 6 plus model... waiting to see if it is worth taking a jump to the newer model...But I think since there is more anticipation with the anniversary phone - 2017, I may just hold off till '17.

You don't care about performance upgrades, just want a different looking phone?

Its not that I don't care, its that I'm not the type if user to take advantage of them. Kinda of like having a 550hp car and never driving over 65. For some people, those small and mid level performance bumps mean a lot, I'm just not one of them.

That's my thinking too. I'm happy with my 6, so unless something bad happens to my phone I'll most likely hold off till the anniversary in 2017.

That's the ugliest f***ing phone design I've seen in a while. Yuck.

Sent from my iPhone 6s

Wow. How enlightening to read your analysis of the iPhone 7 design. Let me get back to you when I receive my iPhone 7 on launch day on how much I like it.
