I have tried holding down the power button, then the power and volume buttons but it wouldn't shut off.I also have had random freezes too...just restart it.

I did that and set it up as brand new when I bought it alsoDon't wanna jinx it but my 7+ hasn't froze ever since I got it. I'd recommend a total system restore using iTunes for a clean iOS install to see if the problem persists

Well that's the problem lol. Closest store is 1.5 hours away and I don't have time to goThen it should really go back to Apple. Hope they manage to solve your problem and be sure to update!

I hate to say it, but mine is still doing it. On 10.1 on 10.00 etc. it's just sloppy engineering on Apples part.

Sounds like instead of getting an Apple, you got a Lemon. Har Har! Take it back to the apple store.
