Is the glass (in terms of crack strength / scratch-ability) on the iPhone 7 any different than on the iPhone 6s?

Not at all it will still scratch easily against something that has a higher hardness. Get a glass screen protector and call it a day.
Except…when the screen breaks UNDER the protector! :(

I don't suppose the next phone will be cased?!
No, no.

The pics shown are from September 2015. That was my old Sprint 6+.

I've had my T-Mob 6s+ since September 2015 and it's never seen a case. Sitting right in front of me in perfect condition.

:D

EDIT: Just saw YOUR update, LOL!!! :D

Yeah, that will never happen with Erik:D lol
Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner!!!! :)

Dam that some bad luck you had there
Yeah, landed right on a corner of the glass where the edge of the screen protector ran out. Screen protector was freakin' useless at that point as the entire thing spiderwebbed from the impact point underneath the protector!

The only upshot was that the screen protector turned out to protect me from the broken glass of the screen!

Not that I'm aware of. And a display can only scratch based on what is subjected to and what kind of surface it comes into contact with.

However, I don't use any type of screen protectors, and I feel iPhone 6s and iPhone 7 are fairly resilient when it comes to scratches. And they hold up well. At least this has been to my experiences.

I feel like the glass scratches easier on the 7 than any other model.

I never use a screen protector, I hate how it feels.
