Just have to give my opinion.
The haptic feedback is the stupidest thing ever !!
I don't need to feel that sensation that my phone is unlocked this is a battery waster !
iphone being returned today waiting for the iPhone Pro in 2017.

Not worried about my battery. If you will read you are the only one it seems to be driven crazy!

Return and wait!

Enjoy

IMO the iPhone 7 upgrade makes sense if you have a 6 or less, but making the switch from the 6S (or Plus) is a complete waste of money as all you're really getting is no more headphone jack, no more click on the home button and a processor that's barely faster and not noticeable to the human eye.

I don't understand why people are upset by the haptic "button". I can't even remember how the button on my old 6+ felt, and I'm fine with the feel of the new on my 7+. It's a good improvement IMO - eliminates a couple of points of failure.

I'm also with Eric's comment - it's not worth upgrading from the 6s(+).

And how do you think they are going to implement the home button on the 2017 iPhone? Start looking at Androids if it bothers you that much because Apple usually doesn't go back once they change something.

Sorry to hear about your experience, but battery life is great on my 7 Plus. Love the haptic button.

Pretty sure this thread is closer to "stupidest thing ever" but in the spirit of being constructive...

Settings > General > Accessibility > Home Button > Rest Finger to Open

Enjoy your extra 0.0000001% battery

The phone has to be lit up for that to work though. You still have to press either the power or home button to wake the phone then use Touch ID to unlock.

I actually like the new home button. I almost hate using my iPad with the old button now. I went from a 6 to 7 and I really like the phone. I'm enjoying the 3D touch.

If you cared that much I suspect you would get a deal on a 6s now rather than wait for another phone that will certainly not have a physical button.

Nope.

Raise to wake, rest to unlock.

Ahh yes I forgot about raise to wake! You're correct. But I disabled raise to wake because I didn't like it. Every time I would pick my phone up or move it around it was lighting up. But then sometimes if I wanted it to light up when I picked it up it wouldn't go. But others love it. I personally don't mind pressing on the button to unlock. I'm used to it ever since the 5s.

Just to get this straight, so the only reason you bought the phone was for the haptic feedback, realized it wasn't for you and are now returning it? Since i only see this reason listed.

WOW you are......I sometimes have a hard time trying to accept there are people in this world capable of reaching these levels of ________.

Anyways, great waste of space.

To at least add something from my own experience, the battery life is insane, i go two days with this thing.
