Hi All,

Anyone else experienced this. I bought a regular iPhone 7 Jet Black last week from the Apple Store in Tyson's Corner, VA and just noticed the other night that my sim card slot sticks out just a little bit.

I've taken the SIM card slot out, put it back in, tried to see if there is any dust or dirt in the way, but it's still just sticking out a little bit. Wondering if this is something anyone else has experienced...

Thanks!

Serenity Caldwell mentioned this on the Talk Show recently. You're not the only one. If you're a podcast listener, check that episode out.

The sim card slot has a rubber grommet around the entry which is to help stop water getting into the phone, I thought my MB 7+ had the same issue but a gentle press on the sim tray pushed it in completely, I have noted once that the rubber got caught when closing the tray so i ejected again and re-inserted it and it was fine.

I've mentioned this in other threads, but I've never owned an iPhone with a perfectly flush sim tray. Typically they're recessed a little bit.

I've heard the 7/7+ have some sort of seal and you've got to give the sim tray a good push to properly seat it.

I'll try the above suggestions. Thanks, all!

It's definitely not something I've encountered on an iPhone before and my wife's 7 Rose Gold is perfectly flush. It's not very noticeable, only can feel that it's not flush when I run my finger over it.

It needs to be flush to make your device waterproof so contact Apple asap

Interesting. Maybe the seal has to contribute for further water resistance in the iPhone 7. Thanks for sharing.

My friend noticed this on his jet black 7+ too. Taking it out and re-seating it fixed it.
