So have my phone for more than 3 weeks now and had massive home button delay where it would only exit apps by more than a 3 second delay. I took a trip to my local Apple Store and compared it to the Display Units and the Display units were buttery smooth. Anyone else have this problem? Tried every single iOS 10 version compatible and still the same result with multiple restores. Any suggestions?

My iPhone is fine. I don't know about the issues caused by the triple click shortcut, but that could be the issue. It could also be something related to your backup(if you're restoring that).

Yeah, I am too stupid to notice that.

........... Have a great day.
Lol what he meant was people can't realize there phone is any slower with it on.

Ive had mine on since day 1, never noticed any lag. Turned it off just now and yeah its faster and smooth but its not a dramatic improvement.

If that is what he meant fine, I can admit I am wrong. However I have been called stupid more than once for not agreeing with someone's opinion in these forums.

I tried the same, really minimal difference. I will keep it on for the red filter. Like it for night use.

It's not, but thanks for playing.
It's not slowing down your phone, it just takes longer to exit out of apps, go to the multitasking switcher, or any other thing that requires the use of the home button.

disable triple click shortcut and it instantly fixes the problem.
I was having the same issue but thanks for this. It fixed the "slowness" I was having in multitasking UI and opening/closing apps. Apparently mine was set to VoiceOver.

Now it loads multitasking immediately as opposed to before.
Thanks again.

Please let that be sarcasm
There's a video by EverythingApplePro on YouTube that shows that disabling the triple click button setting makes the phone respond faster to the click, I just can't remember which one though.

Old thread but had to say it... this is a feature, not a problem. If you have a triple click shortcut iOS will have to wait to see how many clicks you make. Otherwise you would immediately get the multitask menu before hitting the third click.

First gen phone . ( non -S iPhone are usually underpowered and laggy ) .The iPhone 6 is a example . Laggy since IOS 8

7S Will be a lot better than the 7.
And for those who STILL think that the iPhone 8 will come this year .Sorry , but NO iPhone 8 this year
