My iPhone 7 falls under the qualifying models, but I don't have the problem per se. Sometimes it takes a while to connect to wifi from LTE but I don't get a 'no service' display. I plan on keeping my phone for a bit, and was wondering if I should bring it in for repair anyway. Do they replace the battery during the course of the repair?

No, if it is working when you take it in, you are not eligible for the recall fix.

Why fix something that isn't broken? So no, you shouldn't bring it in, and no, they won't replace your battery.
Yes, I've since learned they WILL replace my battery and the logic board as part of the recall. Or, they MAY replace my phone with a refurb. Either way, new battery. However, unless the phone was physically in the 'no service' state at the time of my visit, they would not send it out.
